Honestly, I think what he got lambasted for was almost innocent compared to all the other #metoo stuff.
I'm pretty sure what he did was, at the time, under the guise of a consensual sex act that the other party agreed to. Now of course there is a power imbalance and he admitted as much (His statement is here) but I found it pretty mild compared to all the wild shit happening and that happened.
I'll admit it's gross and he did abuse his power over those women but he owned up to it and was honest. Huge difference between jerking off with someone watching/participating and actually raping someone though and that distinction is important.

We really fucked up when we didn't hang all the slave owners and give their land to the slaves like was promised. And just let the Southern states basically recreate slavery. The whole leadership and political apparatus of the South should have been destroyed for good after the Civil War ended not the milquetoast bargain that we ended up with.
The Union should have occupied those states and reformed the education system, the moral code and made damn sure anyone glorifying the Confederacy was hung. That and making sure the laws were just and fairly enforced.
We still are dealing with the consequences of it to this day.

Honestly, I can see how someone would think insects and animals are different things given that we never call them animals like 99% of the time.
Plus they're so different than say, a cat or bird or fish, it almost feels like they shouldn't be called animals.
Of course, insects are animals, but I've heard people say way dumber things than that, things like, "Trump is not a pedo."
