Vorweg: das Parken im öffentlichen Raum radikal zu überdenken halte ich auch für wichtig.

Aber als Argument "flüssigen Verkehr" zu bringen halte ich für etwas kontraproduktiv. Zum Einen ist schon die Definition von "flüssiger Verkehr" an sich mehr als schwammig. Zum anderen sind die typischen Staustellen eher Kreuzungsbereiche, erzwungene Fahrbahnwechsel und Stellen, an denen sehr unterschiedliche Fahrgeschwindigkeiten bei hohem Verkehrsaufkommen gleichzeitig auftreten können (wir alle kennen diese Hauptstraßen, wo durch unangepasste Geschwindigkeit, sinnlose Spurwechsel und fehlendes vorausschauendes Fahren alle nachfolgenden Fahrzeuge ausgebremst werden und sich Phantomstaus bilden. Besonders deutlich wird das aber auf Autobahnen).

So einfach ist es also leider nicht.
