I would rather limit voting to between the ages of 20 and 60.

Where are you? Ladner, BC blueberries are the best in the world.
You must be new here.
I have seen comments calling for “landlords” to be killed. Even people that spent their whole lives buying their one house and then renting out a floor of it for retirement.
A lot of people believe that, if you have enough money to own property, you are automatically immoral and expendable.
Are Co-ops not already a thing? How is this different?
NORAD (North American Air Defence) does not differentiate.
The closest NORAD jets were in Washington State. It is not complicated.
The same thing could happen in reverse.
I doubt this is correct. The argument against universal healthcare was similar and provably, historically wrong.
As UBI is not a lot per person and only goes to very low income people, the burden on the entire country is not great. And it turns out that impoverished people are a burden on the country. Alleviating that burden offsets the costs.
Many middle class Canadian pay 25% or more just in income tax. Then you have to add sales taxes, property taxes, and the rest.
I would say he is about right.
The top income tax bracket is over 50%. If you are very high income, you can pay well over 30% just in income tax (overall).
For anybody that does not understand progressive income tax brackets, a top rate of 50% does not mean you pay 50% on all income. You pay nothing to a certain point, pay a lower percentage up to a certain level, and then it goes up on what you make beyond that level. On the 30,000th dollar you make, you might pay 25 cents tax. On the 200,000th dollar, you might pay 53 cents. On your first dollar, you pay nothing.
Read the article. If you are willing to do the paperwork, most goods are exempt under CUSMA.
The “section 232” tarrifs on steel, aluminum, and vehicles are the biggest problems right now. Those may eventually be ruled illegal anyway (in the US).
Let’s just continue to buy from and trade less with them every chance we get.
Negotiations behind the scenes are probably tough. Canada is not letting the US push them around.
So, Trump acts tough and applies pressure publicly.
1 - maybe it works and Canada caves
2 - if Canada does not cave, he can sign whatever and simply announce that it is the best deal ever (like he did with NAFTA / USMCA). He has already shown his supporters how hard he fought.
3 - if anybody makes a big deal that he got a bad deal, he can always break the agreement (like he did with USMCA)
No problem. Not even feeding Reddit.
