If you are moving abroad for the first time I highly recommend reading / looking for resources about culture shock.
You will have it. It's easier to deal with it if you know and understand it and ways to mitigate the feeling.
And in Germany - if you plan to stay for years - you should definitely learn the language. Germany is beautiful and a lot of folks speak English but if you truly want to feel at home, get friends and not break down at some point due to culture shock then take effort in learning about the culture and why they are the way they are.

I personally started my investment journey without considering the ethical part of it and naturally put my money to "where the money is". Ever since I read into the ethics of investing and have become more aware of the history of some companies / wider societal influence of them, and have grown I've changed that and completely sold all of my stocks that were in such companies.
I've been looking to get back into it, this time with more consideration. You post is really relevant to me, thanks again!
