May not be going so well for the other, but SOMEONE is happy
Really good. Got an ebook reader and it helped me to get back into late-night reading.
It's finally getting sunny and couldn't be happier walking outside in the sun with a coffee during my lunch break.
How are you, Booze?
Holy shit, nice! Been meaning to get into blender, certainly looks better and more beginner friendly than any autodesk software I've used...
Did not know that, interesting!
This is true. !buyeuropean@feddit.uk is for whole Europe and not just EU (the community logo is bit misleading atm).
It's of course ok to have a more EU specific community but I personally think Lemmy isn't big enough to have so much fragmentation and incredibly specific communities (yet).
But we can link to !buyfromeu@feddit.org from our community if OP decides that there is need for EU specific buy-community. Fediverse is free and both communities share the same goal: support closer economies!
That's good to hear. Thanks for all the info, appreciate it!
Hey now you are still a phantastic person!
Oder Computergehäuse mit Katzenprozessor?
I think piefed doesnt have an app yet, and it came relatively late to the fediverse as an alternative to lemmy, but I have high hopes they will finish an app soon!
I know it's a bit of a bummer to be an early adopter of stuff at times, but the bright side is that it's all exciting. I like the fediverse more and more every time I notice an update.
It's been 1,5 years since I joined and holy moly was it cool to switch from webapp (jerboa app was there, but it was just not for me) to voyager when it was released.
Maybe that was the one I've originally seen. Not sure which one :D
I believe because it's not just a different instance, it has a different backend to lemmy (voyager is a lemmy app).
Same reason why you can't login to a Mbin instance on voyager. Only lemmy instances work with voyager.
Edit: I'm so bad at explaining but maybe this analogy helps: think of the difference between piefed and lemmy the same as mastodon and lemmy: the content is connected but they are different kinds of software.
It's an awesome movie, I had a good laugh throughout the movie. They captured the fun of playing DnD in a group and acting silly at times: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt2906216/
