Ha cool! You got to go out and enjoy the weather too.
It's pretty fun and feels rewarding.

I have hopes that in the future they will add such a service but not directly, but rather integrate another FOSS service for this (like their map information pane is often wiki text + link to the full wiki article).
I've found some I've been meaning to look at whether they are truly FOSS but I've been too lazy. My latest bookmark from these kind of services is kartaview: https://github.com/kartaview
Ohh, interesting reason for going with that book, seems like you've read into the topic!
I gave up on reading once I realized I'm going to look up every third word even with the most simple books - so taking a break from that (except little prince) until I manage better. Even graded books for my level seemed too hard. But I'll try again after taking my next course!
Yay! we'll get there, lemmy is growing, I've noticed that my procrastination moments with lemmy are no longer "scroll for 2 minutes and I've seen the whole of lemmyverse". I'm actually procrastinating now.
I briefly tried the development version of their desktop version on Windows 11 using WSL and would not recommend it yet, but I can imagine it works better on Linux since it is a flatpak!
(before I get butchered on lemmy: I daily drive linux at home, windows 11 is for work).
Sounds like you've got this week covered! I've only read L’Étranger in English, but I'm trying out "The Little Prince" in German. Don't think I could even attempt to read any of Camus' literature in German yet.
Love the subtle text at the bottom, wish her a swift recovery!
Nononono! No surprises on my peaceful walk!!
Thanks for the tip! I'll look into this. Maybe I need to go look for a cat-eared pink camera as well! ;)
Thanks for the link to F-droid! Appreciate it!
And now: I have to admit I have the same problem. I love OM but I keep it in day mode for the same reason. Wish there was a way to turn the menus dark mode and keep the map colors...
To be fair I don't like Google Maps' dark mode either. Otherwise it is dark mode for every piece of software I use.
Not really no, I haven't bumped into any issues using the community wiki megathread so far.
My question was prompted by me accidentally using a old bookmark that took me to rentry and noticed that it had seen updates very recently and compared to lemmy community wiki which seemed like it has not been updated since october. I started wondering whether the links were still all fine and there was no need to update them, or was it simply mostly abandoned and do people rather use rentry?
I personally prefer the lemmy community edition, but I'm such a noob when it comes to piracy that I put maybe too much trust into the megathread and this was just a wake up call to double check what am I clicking on and thought maybe asking the community about the state of the wiki wasn't a bad idea.
Yeah sadlt :( they have started working on an iOS app but it desperately needs more contributors.
Let's hope they manage to find help.
