I've been really interested in Friendica lately since it's been popping up here and there, mind sharing your personal thoughts on it? And additionally:
Since facebooks point was kinda to not be so anonymous by having photos and personal stuff on your wall with your real name and picture, how comfortable are people with that on friendica in general? And can you limit your account to be visible only to your friends?

Very good point. We already have too much shit up there and I had hopes to have nations work together to come up with rules to clean it up/keep it cleaner (so many non-working objects up there).
Instead we are also getting weapons up there.
Internet and communication connectivity across the planet is also a good thing, though. Emergency service coordination, areas with poor infrastructure having connection to internet helps with education, no need to destroy environment to build all the infra to upkeep cable routes, etc.

AFAIK it's still B2B / corporate customers only, hoping it'll come to the average customer as a starlink competitor in the consumer market at some point.
So sadly not an alternative to the consumer yet :(
There are many such smaller companies that do the same but they are not selling services to consumers :(
Out of curiosity may I ask what language? It's been incredible for such a small language as Finnish.
It is really bad for single words - for single words a dictionary is way better (I use https://www.dict.cc/). DeepL's amazingness comes from it understanding context better and that's what sets it really apart from Google (which has like no understanding of context sometimes and doesn't even offer proper alternatives)
I tried it out and wrote a longer sentence and it didn't seem to have the same problem with the word "moron". But! I don't know Hungarian so I can't really say and I believe when you say it is not good... I'm sorry to hear it isn't a feasible alternative for Hungarian.. Hope a better one pops out or DeepL enhances Hungarian :/
