Indeed, I'm glad Mbin lives on! And that's good to hear and very promising. Should never depend on a single person :(
You could add warning to your post body: Warning: Elon Musk, Nazi Salute
World block filters will pick this up for people who have set it
Seeing that fuckwit and a nazi salute hurts my soul, so I think tagging it NSFW is good, thanks!
It does look appealing, I just had my heart broken when kbin.social died and defaulted back to my lemmy account. But PieFed has been there for quite some time now!
Yeah I used kbin when kbin.social was still up and noticed that the whole microblogging thing was a bit hidden. But that is super exciting. Also now I know the whole deal with a.gup.pe (was wondering if this is official or just a kind of a community effort).
Might have to give piefed a try too - I keep seeing more and more accounts posting from piefed.social :)
Honestly if I was a musician this is what I would use. Find my niche fanbase :)
Hm, I don't see the image on my instance, but I saw it when I viewed your comment from your own instance. Guess it takes awhile to load?
Anyway, love it! And you'd definitely get a following and a fanbase! ;)
That would be amazing, I recall mbin (not sure about piefed?) can also show microblog posts and I really wish for more interoperability between these systems.
Thanks for explaining this to me! Guess I should make a mastodon account and try it out for myself on a test community of one of threadiverse instances :)
Yeah that does sound complicated. I thought this entire time that lemmy's communities were hashtags in reality and when someone makes a post in a community it would be displayed on mastodon as a normal post but with a hashtag of the community.
Didn't know communities were actual users on mastodon!
Ah! Thought it was based on a hashtag! And I agree no reason to post it here - was just confused why it didn't appear here. Thanks for the clarification!
Pretty cool! Looking at the post it seems you tagged this community correctly, but it doesn't show up here. Interesting.
Thank you! :)
