I disagree.

Twitter was one of the largest social media platforms on the planet, and was especially huge in the US. Before Musk bought it it didn't show any signs of failure. It lasted over a decade, and had enough reach that I think it made a lot of sense for things like emergency alerts, government officials, etc. to use it as one means, even a main means, of disseminating information. It was really effective at that until what, a year ago?

I don't think anyone really predicted Elon Musk buying Twitter and running it into the ground within a year. Yes, it was hypothetically possible in our capitalist system, but there was no indication that it would until Elon made a joking tweet.

Because of how the modern internet has organized itself, it was inevitable that critical systems would utilize Twitter for it's reach.

I think you're applying hindsight and expecting people to have made decisions based on events that hadn't happened yet. Before musk bought Twitter it wasn't at all unreasonable for people to rely on it for information from government officials because it was the format millions of people were accustomed to receiving that information in every day.

I would simply say no. But, by this point, I would have been loudly voicing all of the potential problems. Not my problem they ignored all the warnings, I'm not gonna give up a holiday weekend for their fuck up.

If that means they'd let me go so be it

Until they ban NSFW content

For me this REALLY depends on the thing in question. If I want to support the creators then I pay for it. I basically only pirate stuff that I already own, or have otherwise paid for in some other way.

Edit: My app decided to post this multiple times, I'm cleaning them up, sorry for that yall. Didn't mean to spam 4 identical posts...

Because if it isn't then millions of people in this country will openly be discriminated against because of their religion.

I'm Jewish. Do I really need to explain why I think having protections for my religious beliefs is a good idea? There are more LGBT people than Jews in America. We are a small minority who has historically been heavily discriminated against, and that discrimination is ongoing right now. Antisemitism has gotten significantly more out in the open over the last decade. I can confidently state that had I not been protected by laws, I likely wouldn't have gotten into college, gotten my first job, or had many of the opportunities that I've had in life. I know friends who have been told to their faces that an employer didn't want to hire them because they were jews.

I don't really care if religion is "unscientific," for people who are religious is a critical part of who they are and, more importantly, a lot of other people (religious and not) assign it just as much importance and will happily discriminate against, ostracize, and even kill people for being the "wrong" religion if allowed to do so. I can't just "give up" by Jewishness because it's a deeply ingrained part of who I am, and asking me to "just stop" is frankly as offensive as telling a gay person to "just stop" believing they are gay. And, more importantly, even if I completely rescinded all of my belief in my religious beliefs AND stopped doing all Jewish activities, got rid of all my Jewish paraphernalia, converted to Christianity and lived openly as a Christian, there are still people who would consider me Jewish and discriminate against me simply for having Jewish parents.

YOU might not like religion, and I completely understand why so many people feel that way, but removing religions from being protected classes Isa really great way to guarantee millions of people get discriminated against every single day.

If you like space games but not grind, grab Outer Wilds (NOT outer worlds, different game). It's an indie game that's got a really cool concept behind it and has a really tight, focussed story.

You cannot have a space which is welcoming to nazis which is also welcoming to minorities.

Nobody is telling you what to "think or see" when an instance gets deferderated. You're welcome to think whatever you like, and to go seek it out. You're just not welcome to bring it into some spaces.

The things you point our are lacking are the reason the grocery stores are so big. When you go to the store it's not just a small thing you do on your way to do something else, because when you're in a car nothing is easy. Parking and walking into the store can take a few minutes, so stopping after work every day gets annoying fast because what could have been a 5 minute stop on fklt inevitably turns into a 15-20 minute stop.

So, you make going to the store a once or twice a week thing, and you buy EVERYTHING you think you'll want or need in that week when you go to handle that the store needs more in stock.
