I think it's bonkers we have a corruption and bribery industry in America but in all of extravagance we call it "lobbying"
One of my favorite questions to ask is “who is the economy for? “I always feel like we talk about the economy, as if it’s this external thing, rather than it being us. It is something that should serve us and our needs not the other way around.
This game is the most “Silent Hill”-y game since SH2 if you ask me, and I mean that as high praise. I really think this sort of intimate (in many meanings of the word) horror is exactly what makes this genre great and unique.
I bought it thinking it would be yet another PSX horror game, maybe a Dead Space 1 de-make, nothing special. I played it and now I want personally protect all lesbians from heartbreak and sorrow. A Lesbian Romance Defense Force if you will.
America hates black people so much man. I know this is a lot of different systemic issues but I’m a black dude and to be 💯 with it American is okay calling it quits cause they’re black. East Palestine will probably have the same fate as because they are poor, and to be poor in America is to be black.
( on the super real I’m not equating black people as inherently poor or any weird shit like that, I’m just saying Amerikkkan Kkkaptial deems black people as less than, and has done so for generations)

we could use this to create technology to assist the disabled and elderly caring for themselves but that's not a big enough market so stupid bullshit it is
It's really frustrating that we have the know-how and resources to make technologies for making all sorts of people's lives safer/easier/better but because it's not "profitable" we don't. It's really maddening to me that we have all the assets and knowledge but not the will due to "THE MARKET©®™" deems it to be unprofitable.

One thing I find unquestionably evil about Obama is that his understanding and application of language toward his audience. He's never talking to the American people; he's always talking to the people who interpret reality for the American people. He is such a keen and slick operator toward the media class. He understands how American media works better than I think any politician in America. I think he has demonstrated his understanding of media, media consumption, and the media class in a way I don't think the media class has every really grappled with. It's stuff like this where he can say nothing and then be praised for it. That is also bolstered by the racist "articulate and educated Black man®™©" trope, and he manages to make that work to his advantage.
I'd respect him if he were using this power for good, but he isn't and never has.
