If anyone has the GPUs to self-host LLMs to spam the shit out of them, it's gamers. Gotta get on an easy-to-self-host project to distribute to the community 😄

This is the power of being on the air for 28 years, expecting to get cancelled since the start, and not caring if they do anymore. They can embrace risky content.

Given CBS cancelled their top show, and is owned by Paramount, maybe this is the last show season that will finally set them free 😂

I love it when people can reason like this. Thanks for the constructive post.

Wow, the national post referring to Jordan Peterson as a best selling author and psychologist who is sooo busy touring, implying he's somehow an upstanding citizen is creepy as hell.

Valid point. Seeing it from that perspective almost makes me just as angry, but am refusing to 😅

Thing is, the hypocrisy is invisible and meaningless to his voters. But if you ever have the chance for respectful dialog with them, maybe there will be an opportunity to change some views.

Exactly my feelings.

This isn't an endorsement for Pierre, but treating this as an controversy is misleading and ingenuine.

The leader of the opposition literally told Pierre to stay there. I watched this interview live when parliament resumed in May:

"Given that Mr. Poilievre hopes to be re-elected as a Member of Parliament in a few months and Prime Minister Carney promised to hold the byelection quickly, it would be more costly to taxpayers to move the family out and then right back into the residence," Scheer said in a statement to CBC News."

Given the treasure trove of criticisms to bring to light about Pierre Pollieve's policies, this obfuscates the importance of the real issues and makes people who oppose Pierre look foolish at best.

Welp, I'm having oats for breakfast tomorrow 😄

I wonder if there are other ways pfas might be circulated out of the bloodstream and back into the digestive system to be collected by this microfauna.

One of the ways oats and oatmeal reduce the amount of cholesterol in your body is by binding to the cholesterol in bile so it's excreted instead of being re-absorbed. So the cholesterol could already be in the bloodstream, converted into bile, then excretes with the oats once it's combined. This clearly has multiple essential organs helping the process, but still, a mechanism like this could still make a difference over time.

Is she trying to sell the far right on vaccines? Because if you compare things to Hitler they might like them more 😅

I listened to a story from an ER surgeon. He says the hardest part about crash victims with dogs loose in the car is when their dogs bones fuse with the owners and it's near impossible tell the difference between the two to separate them. It's difficult because if they don't get it all, the body will reject the accidental cross species bone grafting.

Including the high likelihood of ejecting a dog out of the car, this inspired me to get my dog a car harness.

Sometimes, when uploading to some sites, if I upload images with resolution and size within the correct parameters, the server doesn't re-compress the images. If the images do get compressed, then they come out looking degraded.

I don't know if those settings are per-server.

Does anyone know if there is a preferred resolution, file type and file size for photos and videos on pixelfed in general or pixelfed.ca?

Looks like it will take some time to figure it out, but the developer ljdawson is looking into Lemmy support for sync.

This app is so smooth, and caching posts and comments for offline use while on the plane or in low reception areas is a clutch feature for me.
