Yeah this was my thought ever since I heard that they saw LLM "search" as the future. "Search" inasmuch as it still exists on Google is already pay-to-play, this is just changing who gets paid.

Reminds me of Elon's comment about programmers value being based on the number of lines of code they'd written.

This doesn't make any sense

€420 isn't crazy for a 10gbps Wifi 7 router. A quick search tells me the Arris G54 is about that price and only 3.1gbps.

EDIT: Just realized the G54 is a modem/router combo.

EDIT 2: And the Turris €420 version doesn't have Wifi

I agree with this. It also makes me wonder if it would even be possible for a nonprofit or government to train an image generator (for example) to produce more detailed work. The output of a corporation can only be "good enough".

Yes thank you elaborating. I do this this situation is different than (for example) what was going on with Booklore.

Yeah and the dev didn't say he's switching over to a 100% vibe coded model, just that he's ok with it as long as the bugs are manageable.

TIL! Thanks. I find whole concept of an immutable setup so fascinating.

What's the difference between the first two? Ostree:0 and Ostree:1

Been watching DS9 Season two and have been very impressed with the quality. I remembered it being "pretty good" but in my memory it was "the season with "The Circle" trilogy, "Melora", "Rivals" and "The Maquis", episodes and story lines that never really did it for me. I think that made me forget how many really good one-off episodes were also here, to name a few:

  • "Necessary Evil"
  • "Rules of Acquisition"
  • "The Alternate"
  • "Armageddon Game"
  • "Whispers"
  • "Paradise"
  • "Shadowplay"

All bangers!

Also I love how this season ever so slowly drip-drops dominion references culminating with the season finale "The Jem Hadar"

Wink

Someone should probably jump in and explain what federation means.

Note that r/coolguides is a very "normie" subreddit and may require extra handholding. There are a lot of people who don't seem to understand what "open source" means. Some looking for "The Lemmy app" etc. Be patient and helpful!
