The more I think about it the more I think it's them. Iirc the foreshadowing at the end of dressrosa and the start of egghead about "an incident that will shake the world" (paraphrasing) is really similar

It absolutely rules. Definitely agree on the neurodiverse reading, Frieren's character really speaks to me in that way, especially in reflecting on my relationship with a friend I lost a year ago.
