Established users, too. I'm still active on Reddit, just much less so than I used to be. And a lot of the biggest promoters of the Fediverse are still active there, doing what they can to promote Lemmy- and Mastodon-based sites.

Yeah. Bluesky works way more like how people seem to imagine the fediverse does, with PDSes being glorified dumb terminals accessing a (functionally, if not forever technically) centealized pool of content. Hosting a PDS is just shouldering some of the cost of BS's last mile.

It's like someone showed him a plastic toy mallet and it's the only tool he's aware of in his toolbox.

Ah, he thinks choosing to take our balls and play with each other, rather than him, is against the rulesv I see. Can't wait to see how this plays out.

Like, I know this is what Poutin planned to happen, but what does Donny Dorko here think the end result is going to be?

Bingo.

You can't put the toothpaste back in the tube, but you can bust skulls over the rank hypocracy of the tech CEOs.

It's been a long time coming. Their "American Exceptionalism" thing has been leading this way for decades now. They're just not smart enough anymore to keep their fart sniffing and xenophobic comments among themselves anymore.

the NDP, Greens or BQ likely would’ve responded much stronger.

Can't speak to Greens or BQ, but every time the NDP has gotten into power, they've done so by betraying their principles and their base. And, as someone who's had way more direct interaction with party insiders than I ever expected, the party machine is very much focused on electability, not serving the public.

So, call me sceptical. And cynical.

Probably being willing to sign up for a phpBB forum in 2025.

Oh dear lord, we're fucking doomed.

It's a shame he's only the means to produce bullshit.

Because they're voicing their opinions on social media, not at the dinner table.
