Because they ran out of logos that look like all-seeing robotic eyes

They could use a good burning to the ground. Monopolist union busters do not support Canadians or Canada.

We've been we wealth-gating immigration for decades. That strategy was practically designed to increase the conservative-voting population

I think they imagine that the resources for women were spontaneously built by governments, and it's not fair that governments don't do that for men, too!

The idea that the support networks were started by women in their homes, with zero public support for decades until they managed to demand it by building grassroots support might be totally alien to their sea-lioning ass.

"Who is "they"?

And who do you think started and operates most of the resource centres for women?

It entirely depends on whether you want to be a shepherd or a... I'm struggling a bit to come up with a metaphore that isn't loaded somehow. Let's go with "blogger".

But if there's a topic you want to discuss, log content for, and write your own articles about, there's little reason to not create your own little space for it all that others can choose to participate in. Such a space can attract new users to the network who aren't currently interested in Linux news and possum pics.

But creating a space that looks like a bunch of link spam with no human engagement can look fake, and dissuade participation, so you need to really put some effort into not looking like a bot.

It's easier to fork an active community. Being a mod is work, but it doesn't require you to write 3000+ words per week to try and catch attention from an unknown population.

This isn't a debate, and you're clearly here just to be a pain in the ass. Why don't you find something better to do with your time?

You phrased things in a way that can easily be read to infer that this was new for HBC, and you fucking well know it. There's absolutely no reason to be a smug prick about it.

Look, in their defence, they're wasted too

Littering LEO with space junk just so you can see the booba faster out in the sticks is not the forward thinking stance you want to believe it is.

Killing terrestrial astronony while, and potentially ending spaceflight, because we're too lazy to propey invest in terrestrial solutions and just want the billionaire wankers to control everyting is a self own.

They just want more money.

This may be true of the Alberta government, but the Albertan people are a more complicated duck.

There is a very real current of Albertan Exceptionalism running through the province, with a narrative that Albertans are more rugged, more industrious, and more capable than people from other parts of the country, and because of this there is the pervasive belief that Alberta is undercelebrated by Canada.

Albertans believe that they are better than the rest of us, and that because of that they deserve our tribute/ and they deserve to lead.
