All good points but I'd like to point out that the first one is likely the biggest reason not to use it - it's based on Chromium and continues to give Google/Chrome the browser market share to dictate the direction of the web.
question to anyone who may know - aren't termites like ants where they identify via scent and not sight? If so, from an evolutionary view, what might lead to this morphology?
Anyone know of any good - maybe open source/federated - alternatives?

I've been using the wormhole.app site or wormhole-william version for when I'm able to use a CLI. Will need to try out Portal tho, looks shiny ✨
Just tried sending an 8GB file and it froze. Worked great to send a small image tho!
I think its just a current limitation of the app. Hopefully the feature gets added soon, there's a few minor issues that would make the app really great. It works for my home city but can't seem to find where I work, which is unfortunate.

it probably won't hurt in most cases. BUT if your parents get murdered by someone with money, you're at least getting some kinda support.
I've gone back and my main feed is mostly posts about women asking for their "rating", weird af. don't miss it at all with lemmy and all the alternatives available.
