Modded Factorio. I did 450 hours of pyAnodon's recently and it just broke me. I didn't win the game. I feel like I lost at it and life.

It seems impossible to manage the side products properly. Ridiculous amount of materials that are all interrelated means that if you are low on one thing, it is very hard to fix it because you need the thing to work to make anything.

Too many recipes means it is very difficult to make modular, adaptable designs to copy and paste. Advanced recipes seem better, but they end up just exacerbating the issue even more.

Start with a basic HB pencil. Costs under 1 dollar/euro.

If you want to add colour, get some basic coloured pencils or soft pastels. Pastels will need, in general, better paper.

Want to ink them? Go for some cheap black fine lighter pens at different widths.

This progression alone can take years and is enough to get decent at drawing, learn the fundamentals, etc. Good materials and tools are useless if you don't know how to use them properly, so don't spend too much on them too early.

The first rule of warfare: never get into a fair fight.

To start drawing you need a pencil and some paper. It costs almost nothing to start and it can be very rewarding.

That would surprise absolutely no one.

He just barely outlived Henry Kissinger.

First, they will remove rape and incest, then they will remove all LGBT games, then they will remove all nsfw, and then they will remove all violent games and so on until only the games deemed acceptable by the US evangelicals are left.

I guess I'll go to the F95zone instead.

Pulling oneself by one's bootstraps used to signify the absurdity of getting out of a difficult situation all on your own.

That depends a lot on who you ask. All the weird propaganda in the movie is not there, but also the way that the main character explains how his society functions is perhaps incomplete.

We don't see their society being racist (except against aliens) or sexist, we don't see them suppress free speech or labor rights, we don't see them worshipping some kind of Fuhrer either.

Personally, I think that war makes fascists of us all and that's what the book tried to convey.

Both were entertaining, but the movie was more of a popcorn action flick while the book tried to explore the realities of war and a warrior led culture.

The Heinlein estate holders didn't like the movie so much, they have refused selling movie rights to any other book. So you won't see The Moon is a Harsh Mistress because of Starship Troopers.

Ehh I liked the book more.

Do you remember Dancer Bus? The Lithuanian Oem (Vėjo projektai consortium) had landed on the market in 2018 with a revolutionary bus: transparent and wind-powered. Then, in 2023, at Busworld in Brussels, it was back to make headlines with another very special vehicle: a 12-meter electric, with an unladen weight of just 8.6 tons, thanks to a strong and lightweight composite body made from plastic also collected in the oceans.

Lo and behold, unfortunately, the Lithuanian Oem has declared bankruptcy. The official announcement came on Linkedin, with a post by founder Alvydas Naujekas. A lightning bolt out of the blue? Almost, since from Busworld 2023 2023 to date there had been no particular news, neither of new products, nor of orders and deliveries from Dancer Bus, despite the company’s proclamations and plans, such as the construction of a new factory that would allow the assembly of more than 500 pieces per year.

Why Dancer Bus is bankrupt?

The pandemic hit Dancer Bus hard, and a key step came in 2022, when – as reported by the Ukrainian media ain – the company turned to the investment fund NuCapital for a 1.8 million euro loan; a loan granted until July 2025 and obtained by pledging the factory as collateral.

According to what Naujekas wrote, it was NuCapital that caused Dancer Bus to go bankrupt. The fund, however, returned the accusations to the sender, saying it was simply working to recover the loaned capital.

It's privately owned.
