Man, this looks cool. It’s been on my wishlist for a while. Merry Christmas to me!

Same here. I love Cyberpunk, but I just can’t get into Witcher 3 after attempting it a few times. It’s boring, the combat is shitty and I’m just not interested enough in the lore to deal with it. Not that the combat in Cyberpunk is great either. I guess I’m just more interested in that world.

Probably a mistake to reveal this info. After recovering the SIM, it may have been possible to go back and see the network traffic from the drone. That could create an opportunity to disrupt or hijack drone c&c in the future.

Just try it out and see how you like it. It’s been around as long as it has for a reason. And if you don’t like it, there are other fast moving distros. Fedora and Arch/Endeavour have similar packages.

I don’t think it’s necessarily about beating Windows. What is significant is that Linux use is slowly growing to a point where it shouldn’t be ignored. Those of us firmly in the Linux camp benefit from that and it makes it easier for newcomers to kick the tires.

Frankly, I don’t care whether people use Windows or not. Not my business, not my problem. Use what works. I’m just happy my own shit works, whether it’s 2% or 80% market share. Linux gaming has been a breeze lately - easier than I remember Windows being - and it’s awesome. We are in a really good place and I hope it keeps getting better.

For starters, consider another distro if you want to make things easy on yourself. Alpine is probably a poor choice unless you have a reason to use it. I guess you could use it as a desktop if you really want to, but it’s more geared for containers and embedded devices. It uses musl instead of glibc so you will have problems running software that isn’t packaged for Alpine. The issue with Puppy is you will have a hard time getting help when you need it because it’s kind of a niche distro.

For your first time, you’re better off using something more mainstream. You are going to run into some issues and it’s a lot easier finding solutions for popular distros. Debian would be a fine choice because it’s widely used and runs great on older hardware. Beyond that, you could look at Ubuntu, Fedora, PopOS and Mint.

It gets so much worse after 40. I got tennis elbow and I have no idea how. I don’t even play tennis. It took months to heal. I couldn’t even carry a bag of groceries without intense pain. I got plantar fasciitis while jogging. I had to wear special sandals around the house until it finally healed. I tore my rotator cuff tripping and falling in the ocean. It’s just ridiculous how little things can result in injuries. Working out is a totally different experience now. Instead of pushing a little harder it’s about holding back to avoid injury. I can’t see shit anymore. I have to wear bifocals and crank the font size up on all my devices.

Maybe after 2 kids? Or around when I got married? It definitely wasn’t before my wife came along. If you ask her, she might say she’s still waiting. I don’t know. I still feel like a kid even though I have a lot of responsibilities and my body says otherwise.

Why wouldn't he have to pay? He already had to pay when he bought it. He put in cash and took on debt. The only real benefit to this thing tanking is he can take a massive capital loss and probably never pay income tax again.

The downside is he would owe a lot of money to people you don't want to owe and he looks like a bigger moron by the day. Sooner or later, Tesla investors are going to get spooked by his deranged behavior and then he's in a world of hurt. All his wealth is tied up in Tesla and he uses his position as CEO to pump the stock with all his bullshit lies. It's like a giant Ponzi scheme. As soon as the value comes back down to Earth and the stock is priced like a normal company he's in big trouble.

I don't plan to vote for her or any other Republican candidate. But there's going to be a candidate and I see her as the lesser of the evils. While I don't agree with her positions or particularly like her, I acknowledge that she is at least qualified to hold office and believe that she will leave after completing a term, which is more than I can say about the other candidates. We don't always get the candidate we want and that's part of democracy. It's ok to disagree on policy as long as we can agree on what it means to be Americans.

DeSantis is a hack and I do not believe he has demonstrated either good character or an ability to effectively govern. He relies on a Republican super-majority in the state legislature to ram his agenda through. Sooner or later you have to work with the opposing party to get things done and he has never had to do that. He can't expect a Republican super-majority if he's in the White House and I don't think he has the political chops to work with Congress. Hell, his former colleagues in Congress say he basically ghosted them once he became governor. He's also a racist asshole and hates LGBT people.

Ramaswamy is a hateful prick who is good at getting people riled up. That has nothing to do with governing. I don't believe he is qualified in any way, shape or form.

Trump is a traitor. His actions on 1/6 are an affront to every person who has ever worked to preserve or better our country or our way of life. He literally tried to deprive all Americans - even his own supporters - of a free and fair election. Ironically, many of his supporters consider themselves patriots who believe in free and fair elections. He has deprived them of their faith in our democratic systems as much as he has anyone else, and, in the process, has created an awful schism between Americans. I can't think of a worse criminal in our nation's history. It is unfathomable that he is considered a candidate for any public office. His rightful place should be on the gallows. His trials, eventual conviction, and imprisonment is a future far better than what he deserves.

Do you prefer Trump, DeSantis or Ramaswamy? There are no good candidates on the Republican side. Unfortunately, one of them is going to be the nominee and whoever it is has a decent chance of becoming president. As bad as she is, I don’t think she’s the worst Republican.
