Already did, see above.
I want you to explain how you came the conclusion that I said this harassment was ok when I unequivocally and clearly said it wasn’t.
I already told you. You said the act of being a public figure means you are inviting harassment. If you don't understand how this normalizes harassment, I don't think there's much else to say.
Do you read comments before you respond?
Allow me to quote myself where I a) showed that I read your comment, and b) anticipated your response:
And don't fucking tell me you're not saying it's okay, but public figures should "expect it". No. Full stop. Fuck that. By saying they should expect it you're fucking normalizing it and saying it's okay.
You can't say public figures should expect harassment and are inviting it and then say people who harass them are not absolved. You are absolving them by saying it's expected and invited.
The act of streaming means you’re using a megaphone. You’re deliberately and intentionally inviting the public.
"Using a megaphone" implies he was trying to push an agenda. Being a public figure/entertainer is not well described by the phrase "using a megaphone."
He's deliberately and intentionally inviting the public, yes... to be fucking entertained while he streams a video game. He's not trying to teach them anything, or convince them of anything, or push an agenda.
He had people come into his stream and start talking racist shit and he shut it down. In no way does he have to put up with it just because he is a public figure.
I mean at the end of the day if you don’t want people to come at you with their shit takes you shouldn’t put your stuff out for the public to see. That is also a choice.
Do you even fucking hear yourself? Saying that being a public figure means you're deliberately asking for harassment and abuse is fucking insane! What the fuck is wrong with you or anyone else who thinks it's okay to hurl abuse at someone just because they're a fucking public figure. And don't fucking tell me you're not saying it's okay, but public figures should "expect it". No. Full stop. Fuck that. By saying they should expect it you're fucking normalizing it and saying it's okay. That's a choice you're making, and it's frankly disgusting.
I was going to say this is good for Canada, but part of the draw to bring engineers here is the path to the H1B. If there is no H1B end-game, maybe they won't bring them to Canada either.
That said, we have some sizeable offices already established here, so maybe there is still incentive.
Times Colonist says they were found vomiting in the stairwell and it had to be cleaned up. Maybe one or two people got sick and the rest was vasovogal/sympathetic/emetic/whatever it's called.
Bullet-sponge games be like: Fu-fu-fu-fu-fuck-fu-fu-shit-shi-shi-shi-fu-fu-fu-fuuuuuuuuuuuu-fu-fu-fu-shi-shi-shit-shi-shi-shi-shi-shi-shi-shi-shi-shit-shi-shi-shi-shi-shi-shi-shi-shi-shiiiit-fuck-fuck-ow-fuck!
Or, tear down the Canadian side and leave a gaping hole?
How has it come to this? Fuck.
Yes the fossil fuel industry loved to point this one out. "Hahaha! We're so dirty even your clean tech can't be clean!"
I feel like the other link you posted was pretty informative. It sounded like this particular design was probably mostly decorative. And it was the inspiration for this armour which is pretty cool: https://cdn.i-scmp.com/sites/default/files/styles/768x768/public/d8/images/methode/2019/03/26/b8c93022-46db-11e9-b5dc-9921d5eb8a6d_image_hires_180322.JPG?itok=ayb3KxEd&v=1553594610
We need to get Lindybeige in here
Growing up I always learned (I think) the "insert missing text" symbol was shaped like the one in the pic, like a caret symbol.
The odd thing is I also remember the caret and inserted word being at the top like in OP's image, but style guides I can find now show the caret at the bottom and the inserted text at the top.
https://books.byui.edu/fhgen_110_textbook_/chapter_16_deciphering_elements_of_handwritten_records#%3A%7E%3Atext=are+shown+here%3A-%2CInserted+Words%2Cadded+on+the+line+ above (search for caret)
https://grammarist.com/editing/proofreading-editing-marks-symbols/
Wikipedia seems to indicate using a downward facing caret, or a caret with an extra upward arm https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caret_(proofreading)
TIL!
All that to say the formatting of OP's pic, no matter the direction of the arrow/caret, makes it hard to read. A little "don't dead open inside" or something.
Edit to add: This one shows it the way I remember it https://dmlfnsgrade9isawesome.weebly.com/editing1.html
