sounds like pure intimidation to me.

1/ one could have "never received this letter"

2/ one could decide not to pay, and then what? will they go to court? based on what evidence?

3/ if it ever goes to court, "i don't know, i wasnt even home that day" should always work no?

i don't understand while in some countries (actually only one that i know of, Germany) people seem to be terrified by this lawyer's spam...

What are the challenges posed by moderation (and admin in general) that you didn't think of when launching the first instance?

(and: How can things get improved, how can people help?)

People pretend to be surprised and upset now.

But the only reason Zoom(tm) are able to do this now is because for so many years people pretend not to care about a business model entirely based proprietary, centralized architecture and therefore on the collection of all these conversations...

So yeah "training ML" why not. is it very much worse than all the rest they were routinely doing or capable of doing with this data? don't think so.

Good thing is: soon they can rent to these corporate drones a ML-version of themselves that can sit in these endless meetings in their place, to nod and try to look good and say "i agree" when asked for their opinion...

hey sorry for not responding earlier. you are right indeed, and i put your point to discussion with other admins here after you had made it... problem is: moderation is crazy, i think close to impossible task for volunteers... and how otherwise?

anyways, sorry for switching topic, you are right and i'll be careful in the future;

cheers

Anyone verified the data, could explain where it icomes from? Seems very dubious... How anything from 1820 can be measured accurately to start with...? let alone compare to 2020...?

RIP :((

Few programmers leave such an impressive legacy....

(Could someone paste the message here, out of the Google hell?)

AWww sorry I messed up. It's indeed an issue related to federation of servers, of mods, of messages, etc... All this is very new for everyone, and also some of it changes from version to version.

Let's assume everybody here is in good faith, trying their best, and find a clever solution. I asked other admins what they think should be done. But i think I fucked up.

Can you people check and tell me what to do: shall i rollback this mod thing? Or do you need mods on each server, and can live together? More mods is often better than too few, if everybody agrees that is...

Cheers, and let's find a way! <3
