What is this cube and how does it relate to the drive?

The term code-switching comes to mind, but it's not a perfect fit. The linguistic term talks about it more as something that people will do when they aren't able to express an idea in a specific language or dialect. The other time I here it is when talking about racial inequality, and code-switching in that context includes how one dresses, talks, behaves, etc.

In the same fashion that folks can be normal in social settings but shitty online, I've often heard that abuse happens in private because abusers only allow themselves to be abusive in private. This sounds very similar to the concept of code switching, though is almost the opposite of what it usually means. I do not know of a term for it.

Long story short, you are the ultimate decider of how you act, and you are yourself in all contexts. Take responsibility for your behavior in all contexts, because it matters in all contexts.

At the same time, though, I am a determinist who views humans as animals running off the same reward systems as any other animal, and thus equally likely to be 'unconscious' of their problematic behaviors. The seed of self control, the very idea of autonomy and personal responsibility, needs to be planted in many people. That role initially falls upon the parents, then the teachers as well, and then the individual's community. If none of that occurs, then it is no longer any small collection's duty, but the duty of society at large. So punch Nazis - you're doing them a favor.

I think you've falsely equated violence with revolution.

There are currently arsonists in Atlanta and elsewhere in the US fighting the creation of cop city and projects like it via property damage. That is violence with no danger of creating an autocracy. I'd argue the Black Panthers, the Suffragettes and the IRA all used violence which posed no danger of autocracy.

I do agree that strong group unity, some form of multistate participation, and good leadership and structure, are all very important for it to yield positive results.

Del.icio.us does absolutely seem to be the same design as reddit if you look at old screenshots, and predating Reddit by 2 years definitely makes reddit look like a bit of a ripoff. I'd argue both are just an evolution of the forum format so not too special.

Aaron Schwartz seems to take a very big place in reddit's mythos and it feels weird seeing him take up only a single paragraph - the author is only telling their own story, though, so it only makes sense if author didn't know him. It does change my perspective of reddit hearing that Steve and Alexis were aiming to be your bog-standard startup from the getgo and Scharwz only came as a later team addition.

Here's a news article about it. This is also corroborated by the FBI, who've been warning about white supremacists for years now. All the way back in the early 2000s they were telling people about white supremacists infiltrating the police for recruitment.

Of course, all you have to do to notice this pattern by looking at what groups are showing up to protest LGBTQ+ events and counterprotest leftist events (You'll regularly see Atomwaffen, Patriot Front, etc), and try doing any research on them. It takes very little to find out they're white supremacist. Or just look at what the vast majority of mass shooters believe. You can track that yourself too, just wait a week or so and they usually have their history uncovered.

This is also nothing new. We've had white supremacists attacking the black community since emancipation, such as the KKK. MLK's assassination was ultimately pinned on white supremacists (that is the controversial official story told by the FBI).

Currently the most active terrorist groups in the US are white supremacist groups. It'd be valuable for everyone in the US to be educated on what these groups believe and inoculate themselves against those beliefs.

For those who don't know, Wendigoon is a creepy lore youtuber.

He's also sometimes been acredited with creating the aesthetic of the boogaloo boys, not sure how true that is.

As far as I've heard, his videos are fairly consistent with documentation of the events he covers, such as the unibomber, the MLK assassination, etc.

It's very funny to think he wasn't radicalized before the printer situation.

Can you mention what your specs are and whatnot? I've been getting abrupt random crashes over and over from it, and literally exclusively from it from what I can tell.

EDIT: Figured it out. You need to run the game on DirectX 11 instead of 12 for certain cards. Insert " %command% --use-d3d11 " into the game's launch options in steam. Game runs great now.
