You're right about the last bit, but slightly off on what it means.
He thinks he's got everyone fooled. He's a toddler with no emotional stability and so he has to surround himself with people who will play along. Because even when other people call him out... what happens next?
They just shrug and move on. Eventually that makes these billionaires think that they're master manipulators, when really, everyone is just tired of dealing with their emotional outbursts and are only going along for the paycheck.
