In our local news ISIS has claimed responsiblity for the attack. Who knows what really happened, but it's a bit of a stretch, even for Russian news, to blame Ukraine for that as media globally has this information. Not that it will stop them from at least trying to blame Ukraine, but this kind of freamongering and speculation is a bit too soon to happen.

It might be ISIS, it might be Russians themselves, it might be Ukraine or their associates, who knows. The fact is that the terrorist strike happened, but bluntly stating that it was Putin himself only a hour or two after the news was published doesn't help anyone. What matters is reaction to this in upcoming few days. Before that it's better to just follow how the whole thing goes instead of blatantly accusing anyone without any proof.

Plus ainakin täällä mm. kouluilla ja päiväkotiryhmillä on omat korttinsa, jota käytttävät omassa toiminnassaan sen opettajan henk.koht. kortin sijaan niin nämä hoituu siinä samalla näppärästi.

Se, etteikö näitä kahta voisi yhdistää, on sitten oma keskustelunsa, mutta sen puolesta hihasta vedetty arvaus sanoo että kirjastojen omat järjestelmät ei tue kahta eri korttityyppiä ja muutoksen tekeminen on sitten joko kallista tai toimittajasta riippuen mahdotonta.

Technically speaking nothing is stopping you from building a plasma fireplace right now, it doesn't need fusion energy. Just grab a stick welder transformer and place couple of carbon rods carefully next to each other. That might be a bit loud, a bit bright for your living room and might set things on fire and have other minor issues like killing your wifi-signal, but it could be done.

Or if you're satisfied with a bit smaller "flame" you can get a plasma lighter from amazon for 10-20€.

Plasma is a bit hotter than your gas fireplace flame. Common lighter flame is at about 600 deg C and while it's possible to create plasma which is nearly ambient temperature in controlled environments it's generally tens of thousands of degrees (plasma arc welding for example) up to tens or hunderds of million degrees celsius (inside fusion generator).

That's mostly why fusion energy is so difficult problem to solve in the first place as there's no materials which could withstand the heat. So, no, it wouldn't be useful as a fireplace. It would of course radiate heat, but it would also light your (and your neighbours) house on fire, so not that useful.

Also a big(ish) issue for the industry. Local news had info that up to 80% of natural berries are picked up by foreginers. For majority of the pickers these gigs are pretty big source of income (compared on what they make back at home) but then there's the few rotten apples who end up renting accommodiation, cars and everything to the pickers so that pretty much all of their earnings go back to the person providing work. Or that they don't pay up at all and everything else in between. I'm not sure if that qualifies as human trafficking if pickers end up going back home empty handed, but that's been an (relatively small, but existing) issue here.

Human trafficking is of course a big deal, but from the ones who end up in our forests picking berries the slavery-like conditions and long work days with next to nothing paid in return is a more common problem. And even if it's more common it's still a relatively rare problem.

The full quote has a bit more insight about the matter. But the mesage stands, as of now Finnish troops aren't going to Ukraine and as long as things say relatively the same it's not on the table. And as a finn, in my opinion that's the correct way to manage this right now. We couldn't send any meaningful amount of troops there and even if we did, what would they do there? Even a battalion wouldn't change that much in the scope of whole war and Ukraine would have a ton of troops on their hands to find something reasonable to do, set up command chains, plan logistics (even if our troops would bring their own support) and so on. The whole thing would be far more complex than just a phone call from Finland that we're coming to this and that city and help you from there.

And I'm pretty sure it wouldn't even be legally possible right now in the first place. Secondly that would be pretty much a diplomatic nightmare, not just with Russia (not that it really matters), but with the rest of Europe too. If the whole thing escalates to nato vs russia war then the situation is of course different, but I sincerely hope we can avoid that.

What Ukraine needs right now is a shit ton of artillery ammunitions and with that we can (and will) do our part. The biggest ammunition manufaturer here was on the news that they increase their production 5 times and if funding from around Europe is secured they're planning to double that. And even that's not enoguh, Europe as a whole needs to get their shit together and fast.

Ei ole tutkinnanjohtaja ainoa ihmettelijä. Monenlaisella nuotiopaikalla on tullut käytettyä eikä noista ulkopaikoilta ole tuhkia tarvinnut pahemmin siivoilla. Edellisten kävijöiden hiillokset palavat loppuun seuraavilla tulilla ja se mitätön määrä mitä tuhkaa jää ei kyllä tarvitse säännöllistä siivousta. Tarina ei toki kerro, että onko tuo nuotiopaikka joku kotatyyppinen rakennelma, missä on ihan arinat ja kaikki, mutta sellaisestakin tuhkat luulisi puhdistettavan ennen käyttöä, jolloin kuumaa tuhkaa ei tarvitse missään vaiheessa liikutella yhtään mihinkään.

Mutta meitä on moneen junaan, olikos se nyt Kuopiossa kun joku aika sitten paloi omakotitalo siksi kun terassille oli viety kuumat tuhkat muovipussissa. Henkilökohtaisesti suosin perinteistä sinkattua peltiämpäriä (ei-neuvostoliittolaista tosin) ja sinnekään ei ole tarvinnut kuumia tuhkia tyhjennellä vaikka pari tulisijaa talosta löytyykin.

I'm pretty sure the cameras around here don't use OCR at all or even if it does it only recognizes the format for plates from a thing shaped like a plate. So if you're driving like an ass with the drop tables-"plate" that is pretty relevant.

The Bobby Tables one I'm quite sure would work at least on some systems if they let you input your kids name by yourself to some sort of digital form. Or at least I would be pretty surprised if every school system on earth would be patched against simple sql injections.

Ei heppu sinänsä yhtään väärässä ole. Omalla kohdalla kesiä on jo sen verran takana että ensimmäiset kesätyöpalkat tuli vielä tukevasti markoissa ja olihan se silloiselle 16 vuotiaalle ihan oikeasti rahaa kun kesätyöpestistä sai reilun 2000 markkaa. Inflaation ja muun korjailun kanssa puhutaan nykyään varmaan aika lähelle samasta numerosta euroissa ostovoimaan suhteutettuna.

Itse toki silloin (ja taas nykyäänkin) elin aika pienellä paikkakunnalla ja vanhemmat panosti töissäkulkemiseen uuden polkupyörän verran, mutta laman jälkimainingeissa oli aika selvää että jos meinasi ihan omalla rahalla hommata jotain kivaa (itse ostin minidisc-soittimen, nuoriso voi googlata mikä semmoinen ihme on) niin sen eteen piti tehdä töitä. Nyt omalla nuorisolla on yhteensä toista tonnin edestä kännyköitä ja muuta romua siihen päälle melkoisen paljon, mitä ei ollut olemassakaan silloin kun olen itse ollut samaa ikäluokkaa, mutta siitä huolimatta esikoinen pisti kesätyörahat pöytään ja hommasi itselleen iphonen kun isin maksama androidkapula ei ollut tarpeeksi hieno.

Nuoremmallakin jälkipolvella tuntuu olevan ainakin jonkinlaista paloa hommata sitä ihan omaa rahaa mitä pistää pöytään että saa itselleen jotain kivaa, mutta sen näkee sitten parin vuoden päästä että realisoituuko tuo mielenkiinto siihen että jaksaa tehdä töitä sen kivan eteen. Ja toki kun ikää tulee lisää niin sen 'kivan' lisäksi pitää alkaa huolehtimaan siitä että tuleeko vuokranmaksun jälkeen vielä nälkä ja siinäkohtaa se vähän surkeampikin homma oletettavasti alkaa kiinnostaa, minä kun en ole ajatellut maksavani ihan kaikkea mahdollista mitä perilliset keksii haluta. Kohtuus tietysti kaikessa, mutta oma lähtökohta on että jos jotain kivaa tai ekstraa haluaa itselleen niin siihen pitää sitten löytyä omasta taskusta sen verran liitua että omat haaveet saa toteutettua. Noin konkreettisemmin, esikoinen ainakin meinaa että hän kulkee koulussa omalla skootterillaan kunhan tiet sulaa, eikä siinä mitään, skootteri on lahjaksi saatu ja sitä saa tietysti käyttää, mutta jos ei tilillä ole bensarahoja niin sitten voi ihan vapaasti hypätä polkupyörän penkkiin ja polkea sen 4 kilometriä että pääsee pulpettiin istumaan.

Tämä kaikki on toki liitoksissa siihen missä satutaan asumaan ja että miten maailma täälläpäin toimii ja varsinkin siihen että alle 18 vuotiaana tuommoisesta kahvilahommastakin jää jotain käteen kun verottaja ei vielä rankaise kovin lujasti. Tilanne on tietysti sitten ihan eri jos vanhempien lompakossa on muutakin kuin edellisviikkojen lottokuponkeja ja löysää valuuttaa löytyy, mutta tilanne on myös ihan yhtälailla eri jos elatusvelvollisuus on loppunut ja vanhemmilla ei vain kertakaikkiaan ole varaa kustantaa täysi-ikäisen lapsen elämistä. Jälkimmäisessä tilanteessa se urheiluseuran kahvilan 500€ netto/kk ei ehkä lämmitä kovin pitkälle.
