It absolutely does, no better way to end terrorism than to make the terrorists afraid of committing acts due to the retaliation.

Lot of afghans still look up in fear when they hear a noise on a clear day.

This is absolutely true .

Which is why the Russians were so foolish as to commit blatant terrorism while leaving their calling cards.

We made an example of Nazi Germany and imperial Japan, those lessons held. The same is needed here to imprint the lesson.

And I stood on the right side.

Going to war to kill evil invaders is not bad.

Invading an innocent country and killing their civilians is.

[–] InvertedParallax@lemm.ee 19 points 1 year ago

If that is true than how evil are the Russian soldiers for wanting to invade an innocent country and willfully kill their civilians?

Next step: salt.

Have you seen what they did to Ukraine?

It's counter-terrorism.

You can't let terrorists get away with their terror, the fear must be repaid 10-fold or it will never end.

Sigh.

Brazil is held back because they have a tiny majority of super-rich landholders who control the political landscape, not the US.

There's a name for them, they prefer Brazil does worse if it means they get more control.

Until their political power (they control most states outside the urbanized ones) is neutralized, Brazil is doomed.

In this case Russia is facing Germany AND the US.

I like those odds.

[–] InvertedParallax@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

That's not the whole US, just mostly the south.

Can you tell me why Hitler was a bad person? Don't use the holocaust.

That sounded like 5.56, which sounds more like a pop than 7.62 (brat) or .303 (boong).

Yes, it's a shame, but tbf Israelis really freaked out after Oct 7 and now see threats everywhere.

There was a strong supporting reaction at first, but then the Israelis started saying some dark things and some people are starting to feel an awkward vibe.

Hamas needs to be rooted out, it's just a lot of Israelis seem to see all gazans as hamas now, which is problematic, and lash out with "antisemitism!" When people try to deescalate.
