The last episode of caprica is gold, the beginning is fine too. Got completely lost in the middle.

You could say total die size, but you wouldn't say die, that implies a single cut exposure of silicon.

But agreed, Apple just took all the tricks Intel dabbled with and turned them to 11, Intel was always too cheap because they had crazy volumes (and once upon a time had a good process) and there was no point.

Don't leave me in suspense, who does number 2 work for?!?!

No military could challenge nato. If China tried they would suddenly have the largest fleet of permanent submarines in history, like Russia has been.

It's a great mmo because it doesn't have the grind and time Commitments.

It's not a 2nd job, it's just something to do for fun with a good story and atmosphere. It's what an mmo should be.

800 is reticle, they're not past that, it doesn't make sense.

They chiplet past 500, the economics break down otherwise.

Decode overhead is fairly fixed, and proportionately has become tiny over the decades. Most larger instructions dispatch to microcode, and compilers know better than to use them much.

There's a price to x86, but for larger cores it's pretty small, we've learned to work around it.

Apple bothered to do the things Intel was too lazy to do for so long, particularly improve the ooo and other resources to where Intel didn't want to spend the silicon. Intel has always been cheap, nickel and diming their way out of performance, this is the cost.

You think that's something you need to visit the south.

Jesus is coming to take them away on his spaceship just before he nukes the jews, atheists, catholics, and all other non-Christians any day now.

They spent decades gaslighting you so you thought you were crazy for even imagining it.

That’s not indefensible because NATO doesn’t intend to fight an artillery war

We didn't expect to fight a war against a country with an army straight out of WW2.

We're trying to help a country fight a war with 60 year old gear. Give them real tech and let them roll the idiots.

No, they want it back, they've had discussions during the cold war and since.

He's saying they're not doing anything about it now:

Complete restoration of China’s losses in that time is a driving narrative of the CCP, and today is largely focused on Taiwan.

However, Lai, who was elected president in January, noted that China also lost land to Russia during that period but was not making any effort to take it back

He's saying Taiwan is just a noisy point to distract the domestic hardliners, which it is.

Russia is literally vulnerable now and 100% dependent on China, they could ask for it back if they wanted, but what China wants is the political issue.
