I do too, but all the criticism has been "it's too boring'.

It's slow, because a: it's elves in tolkien, their whole thing is they're timeless as hell and 2: because older shows expected to hang around for 6-odd 22 episode seasons, half of which were filler.

There's no money in late-night anymore, streaming killed it dead. Why watch cable when you can save that time for a binge marathon?

I mean, f* Fallon and his laughing at his own jokes, but my boy Seth Meyers deserves better. Even Colbert seems like he's trying.

Well, air-concrete-air is 2 media but 3 transitions. You can re-use the model for the transition which makes the math easier, but you still have to re-do all the math with different numbers, some of which you have to determine by analyzing the transformation the signal channel underwent through the transitions.

I don't think it would be an order of magnitude more power for EM trying to go through a transition between air and concrete, it's not like the wave is actually moving the matter so much as its bouncing into it sometimes, and the change in propagation velocity and group delay coupled with frequency rolloff in the transition, but it adds a ton of noise, mostly as the group delay gives you effective multipath, and especially modern modulation relies on heavily phase measurement (PSK and QAM) which can make everything all really icky when the phase interference is that small, we designed our modulation for large phase interference like multipath reflections, etc, the assumption that going between media would cause the reflected/refracted component to heavily rolloff, which might not be the case here.

Armor is good against light infantry, right up until they get anti-tank weapons, after which it's a massive coffin/integrated crematorium.

We switched to Strikers and those other stupid things in Iraq for the same reasons, there were rpg-7s everywhere, you just couldn't stop them, more armor slowed you down and made you a worse target in bad terrain.

The Bradley is death against everything its size, and killed a bunch of T-72s because TOWs don't lie. Mainly, if you're worried about RPGs, you can have guys get OUT of the Bradley and chase them with guns.

No, you're right, we can't do anything beyond harsh criticism, no, even that's too far, what if we hurt some of the genocider's feelings?

They're sending their kids into a meat grinder because they hope other people's kids will feel more pain in that same meat grinder.

Fair use by humans.

There is no fair use by computers, otherwise we couldn't have piracy laws.

I'm sure there are dozens of us.

But this is less about the plot and more about seeing the elves, which LOTR always teased us with. Moria was fun too, though it really felt like an afterthought.

It's the medium transfer that always kills you, this minimizes that by limiting it to 1 medium (concrete) and not doing air-concrete-air.

You can do eq and compensation for 1 medium, 2 media are harder.

Some, not all, hopefully not most.

But Jesus, so many of us suck so hard.

It's because it's a shade too dogwhistley.

It doesn't say HOW you clear out that land, maybe you ask them to leave politely, maybe you buy them flowers and take them out for a romantic weekend in Paris then cancel the return flight.

It's just too vague to clearly say "slowly strangle them economically while terrorizing them and bulldozing their land out from under them".

Hamas's death to Israel is less subtle in comparison, although it could be construed as a disapproval of the New Zealand All Blacks especially their outside back Israel Dagg. It could even be a contempt of modern existentialist dogma through the painful reminder that, "Death to 'is real!'

Or alternately, you know, napalm.
