The people in power actually taking climate change seriously, and not just in a tragedy of the commons type of way. I mean actually working together to slow it down or reverse it.

If she's the right age, Teach her The Game. It's a brain virus game.

Rule number 1 of The Game, you can not think about The Game. When you think about The Game you lose.

Rule number 2, when you think of The Game you have to say that you've lost The Game. Ideally loudly and publicly.

Rule number 3, after losing the game you get 30 minutes grace period to stop thinking about it before The Game starts again.

Rule number 4, once you have learned about the game you may either play the game or cheat.

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times, OneDrive is not a backup solution. You should not be using it to sync files between PCs. It's at best a data sharing solution which also extensively mines your data. If you're using OneDrive to backup important information you'll regret it when your data is gone and there's no support from Microsoft to resolve it.

I've switched over to one disk redundancy to stretch out my spinning rust. If SSDs come down just a little bit more it'll be worth it to replace my array. Just hoping two drives doesn't die until then.

Unless it's a real person who gets zapped. Then it's manslaughter.

If you believe that, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

I've been there friend, and I've had being okay far away from myself for a long time. To answer your questions.

Why am I so weak?

No, you're not weak. Feeling weak is something everyone feels sometimes. It's okay.

What should I do?

Maybe you could reach out for help. Just because you're paying a professional to provide counseling or medical treatment doesn't invalidate the work that they and you are putting into yourself. I can't say what course is right for you.

Why am I here?

I wish I knew why any of us were here, but alas that's one of life's biggest mysteries. The best answer I've ever heard was "to embrace the absurdity of your own existence, and experience it."

Will I ever find love?

Keep looking, it takes time.

Is it all a lie?

Yes, but not the way I think you are thinking. The lie is the expectation that we should have all the things that make us happy now and all we need to do is follow the path set up for us. That's pure bullshit we're fed from the cradle to the grave. Following someone else's path means they've already used up the good stuff. Step off the path a little every now and again.

I never thought of it like that, well written.

It's interesting watching the discussion in this thread evolving and polarizing. Yesterday the discussion started as 'nuclear is one solution in a portfolio of solutions to combat climate change. vs. nuclear is always bad.' and developed into 'nuclear is good and you're dumb. vs. nuclear is bad and you're evil'.

It's really easy actually, the difficult part is cooking them.
