Same, Baulder's Gate 3 is out. It's fantastic and I don't have much motivation to spend money on it. TOTK takes up all the time I allow myself to play video games. I still haven't even started Elden Ring.

Everything eventually breaks down or dies and there's nothing anyone can do to prevent that indefinitely. It only ever needs to work long enough to be useful. Don't let perfection be the enemy of good enough.
Totally irrelevant to your comment, keep up the strike and hold the line! Assuming you're the real Margot Robbie and have a prolific platform. I know it's not fair, especially to the less recognizable members but a lot of other people who are thinking about unionizing are watching the WGA and SAG strikes to see if labour can still win. It's not just you guys, we're all with you. Even if they're too stupid to realize this strike is more important than a new season of NCIS. Labour winning this strike proves that labour isn't out of the fight and capital hasn't completely won. Stay strong! Hold the line!
Then how else am I supposed to feel superior compared to everyone else if I don't impose my standards on them? I'm just trying to help them. It's like you want to live in a world where people don't know they're loosers. That's dumb, you're dumb. /s
I am so glad that garbage uses homeopathic rather than holistic these days. You want a doctor that takes a holistic approach, they're looking at your whole body not just their specialty. Homeopathic =/= holistic.
I'm fascinated by how idioms have gone a complete 180. Now we tell people that they just need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, but that idiom is used to describe an impossible task. You can't pull yourself up by your own bootstraps, it's literally impossible. Same with it's just a few bad apples to excuse bad behaviour. The idiom is a few bad apples ruins the barel, that one bad person or thing jeopardizes the whole thing. I don't get it.
Look up E85 fuel plug in hybrids. They're a compromise between ICE and EVs. Ultimately REDUCE is the first part of reduce, reuse, and recycle for a reason.
The number of times I have labeled something as fart, poop, fart_poop, temp_fart_poop, etc, and just forgot about it is not okay.
For sure, and Linux/BSD isn't that scary. For anyone here who doesn't think they are smart enough, I'll give you a hint; even the Linux guru's 'Google' everything. They're looking up very different things but they're still searching like the rest of us. If you stick with popular distros there's always a guide, or a forum post, or a YouTube video that'll show you how to do almost anything. You don't even need to install it, you can run most distros, and all the popular ones, off a USB stick. You don't even need to change anything on your computer to try it. I personally still use Windows for almost everything, but calzone_gigante is right,
even if you choose to use windows again, after knowing more of how things work, you will be more able to force it in working your way.
In my experience it's best to make friends with the roommates your landlord forces you to live with. I live in an apartment for years that had cockroaches, I told myself they were eating the bed bug eggs. Probably not true but I felt better. Landlords are scum-bags.
It's fucking insane. With the exception of a few of my peers, we're all highly skilled, some with over a decade of experience, some with two incomes, and there's no way any of us can afford to buy a house in the area we work anymore. The only ones who did bought their houses right after school with help from their parents. Rent sure, own a home, not a chance here. So either rent forever, commute more, live with our parents, or find another job. It's a rock and a hard place.
It shocked me the first time I met a real anti-Semite, in real life, in Tennessee. I've worked in a lot of places all over the world and I've seen plenty of racism. No one else topped that guy in Tennessee. Other places racism was mostly contained to 'they stay over there and we stay over here.' Tons of problems but living together but apart was possible. That doesn't speak to every experience obviously. That old guy in Tennessee wanted another Holocaust, plain and simple. Anywhere else he'd get the shit kicked out of him, there it was tolerated.
