I don't think anyone woke me up in the middle of the night to fix their computer when I was younger. If it did happen it was so infrequent that I don't remember it happening today.

I've used one briefly, it was fantastic. If only Microsoft's Surface wasn't the biggest player in the 3:2 market.

Depends on your level of agency as well. As a tech savvy teenager I felt I wasn't allowed to say no to my family asking for computer help. Now I follow what you outlined, close family and friends, free. Not so close family, 10.00 to look at it. 20.00 if it's difficult.

Adding to this, depending on where you live you might be able to get a free fire extinguisher from your local fire department. One fire extinguisher in a kitchen turns a three engine call into a one engine call.

I think people misunderstand this and that you explained it well. It wasn't a court that struck down the video, it was YouTube. I'm not sure though what American law has to say about monolithic platforms like YouTube and hosting public domain content.

You're absolutely right, stats are a very misunderstood subject. It's difficult to contextualize stats like this when the population is so large. My measurement for when I got old was when I started to meet old friends and at some point in the conversation we begin talking about other friends who we both knew who've passed away since the last time we've talked.

I have never found a skateboard shoe that's lasted more than a year regardless of price. A solid pair of walking shoes however is very different.

I've always had a pair of these laying around for decades. I use them for walking my husky and they last about two years. They don't look great but honestly I don't care how my shoes look when I'm walking my dog.

I did the exact same thing.

So do not say to them I'll talk to you when you're acting like an adult. Patronizing a patient or family member will always end up badly. Just like it is not your responsibility to go into a burning room to save a patient, it is not your responsibility to endure physical and sexual abuse. Unfortunately, physical and sexual abuse is rampant in the healthcare sector and is something that every health care professional needs to learn to work with. That said, your facility should have a policy in place for just such an occasion. They should have educated you on it and you should never have any worries about when you use it. You should talk to your supervisor, the senior nurses, or your union rep so they can show you what to do. You shouldn't be making decisions when that happens, you should be just following protocol.

Let's all calm down, and have some Chi at the square.

There is no program I miss quite as much as winamp. It really kicked the lama's ass.
