boy, every time I think I’ve found the client that’s gonna be my go-to, I find another that impresses me. your app is absolutely on top of its game!

As much as I love swipe actions, I really really really love how easy it is to go back to a feed from a post in liftoff since actions aren’t tied to swiping. If you ever decide to change this, I hope you’ll leave an option in to revert it. (Pulse for squabbles also went the “anti-swipe” route and it’s been eye-opening to compare apps based on this feature alone)

Liftoff also handles instance navigation sooo well. The ability to see front pages for instances you aren’t a member of from inside an app is an awesome feature that no other app I’ve tried has offered (the only post I’ve made is requesting this exact thing…). Dunno if it’s intended to work this way but if you add an instance on the login form but just don’t login, it’ll still show up in the drop-down allowing you to view the local/all feeds for it.

Can’t wait to see what else you have planned! The newest update with themes isn’t even the version I have yet so excited about that.

Thanks so much!

dunno about native, but I played the early access version on my steamdeck and didn’t have any issues. (didn’t go super far into the game, but it definitely runs solid under proton)

Yeah, I’ve been brushing up on presidential history during the 1900s recently and I tend to agree that JFK would be looked at at least a little differently without the assassination. Bobby, on the other hand, is another story. I don’t know if he could have won in the general but if he had I think he would have been a true icon in our presidential history books. Heck, he would have continued to do everything he damn well could to help the people even if he had gotten trounced.

Going to also recommend f1tv, not just because it’s reasonably priced but because unlike most crap like sunday ticket, it also gives you access to a massive trove of full race replays dating back multiple decades. (Further back, you don’t get the full season, but there’s still a TON there)

Is this the law where local government can’t pass laws/regs that aren’t “in-line” with state laws? Or is this a separate law specifically targeting water breaks? (I seriously can’t decide which is worse)

Exactly what I opened this thread to ask - what is his favorability when NOT attached to the kennedy name?

This is the best solution I’ve come up with, but it’s going to result in a lot of duplicate posts (and the comments will still be fragmented). I’m following several technology communities and a lot of the posts are posted to each of these communities individually. This has always been my concern with federation (along with server health/durability)

It’s not the worst result, but I don’t know how well it will be received by more mainstream users. You also then have to solve discoverability of these “groups/metas”, and THAT has to be hosted on a federated instance so you could still end up with users confused on whether they should follow beehaws tech group or someone else’s….and round and round we go lol

(Just to be clear - I’m not against federation, it’s just such a starkly different model than the normal web that we really have to adjust our mindset and find truly novel solutions or adjust our expectations)

I'm really surprised there's so little love for Enpass. I was a long-time 1password user, and even jumped through all the hoops they required for people that purchased their service as a 1-time fee before they transitioned to a subscription service. Until they broke their iOS app (I think? memory's fuzzy).

Transitioned to Enpass and it has been spectacular. The ONLY feature I've found to be missing is setting up OTPs on desktop is a difficult experience when the site uses a QR code. 1pass had this really cool little window you could drag over the QR code to read it, but with Enpass I think I had to pull my phone out to scan the QR code on my desktop screen.
