Because he isn't a competent NFL GM. Letting high-quality players like Smith, Daniels, and probably Johnson walk, trading the 32nd pick for Claypool, and drafting an old incompetent WR in Jones.

If this was a real franchise Eberflus would have had his walking papers this morning in c/bears@nfl.community

Firing and replacing him in the season would cost the McCaskeys a few $$$, that is NOT going to happen.

Let’s not forget who really is at fault. George McCaskey is an embarrassment to this city and franchise. in c/bears@nfl.community

The only way to impact the McCaskey's is to write/call the state and local politicians to prevent ANY stadium subsidiaries. This includes infrastructure. Make it cost-prohibitive, then screw them on SF rent even more.

Fields only played well because their defense is shit 😁 in c/bears@nfl.community
