Unfortunately, Pierre Poilievre just said in an interview that he doesn't see anything wrong with Trump's executive order because there are only two genders.

You should create a chess puzzle where the king is poisoned by his brother and ask your uncle and mother to solve it. Gauge their reactions to see if they show any signs of guilt.

Lemmy.world has a lot of users and more users means more downvotes. It also happens to have a lot of news and political communities which attracts a lot of strong opinions.

Personally, I find the only function of downvotes is to discourage contributing and discourse, and that seems antithetical to what this platform is supposed to be about.

It's one yellow tree dick, Michael. How much could it cost? $10?

Thanks for the link! Very interesting!

tl;dr sticks often use "potentiometers" to track position. They involve electrical contacts that wear out as the stick is moved around. Once they wear out enough, the stick will produce erroneous signals and needs to be replaced. Hall Effect sticks use magnets and track position by measuring changes in the magnetic field. There is no physical contact so the sticks last much longer.

You realize you would be the mod if you start a community, right?

It's what we in the biz would refer to as a "grower", which is in contrast to a "shower".

You can create your own community on lemmy.blahaj.zone! There's nothing preventing you from doing that. Lemmy is designed specifically for this scenario. If you do create one, I'd subscribe to it! It doesn't matter to me where the content is coming from as long as it's content I like. I'll subscribe to a dozen versions of 196. Nothing changes for me.
