I think Poles REALLY likes Eberflus. He worked very closely with him to build this team. This can be a cynical business, but I believe his comments about Flus from 2 weeks ago were 1000% genuine. He does NOT want to have to fire Flus -- it will totally derail what he is trying to do.

Like if Flus gets canned does he have to find another HC and DC to run the 4-3? If they don't want to it sets the rebuild back 2-3 years. It also means they dealt Roquan for no good reason. (I think dealing Mack was asinine -- especially since we are now paying Sweat MORE -- but one could make the argument that he was aging and cap space needed to be cleared).

On top of that -- Does Poles even have 2-3 more years to get good? Like if he hires a coach who starts 5-11 next year with a rookie, Poles is on the hot seat. With a record of 11 wins over 3 years he would have to be. It would be playoffs or bust for him in 25.

Nope -- Poles WANTS to keep Flus.

Not related, but Jim Harbaugh's .695 Win % is fifth highest all time in the NFL.

If you support Poles, you support Flus returning.

I think Flus needs to get to 6 Wins. He won't.

The only people who want Eberflus fired are the fans. This is Ryan Poles team and Eberflus is HIS coach. He built the team with and for Eberflus. He made a weird trade and overpaid Sweat in an attempt to keep him as coach.

People talk about Poles being "forced" to sign Flus. If anything Flus is forcing him to hire someone else by continuing to stink. Would a new coach even want to run a 4-3? If not than the team is essentially totally starting over with worse players than we had in 2021. Poles does NOT want to do that - it makes every move he has made so far pointless.

This gives us a punchers chance -- the guy we really need to worry about is Myles Garrett.

We all know Fields is gonna fold faster than Superman on laundry day.

This pop star pu**y war is on! Who should it be?

I nominate Patrick Scales.

It is all CM Punk's fault. He has been a troublemaker wherever he goes. Once the NFL fires him everything will be great.

CMon guys! All Fields needs is:

  • a HOF Center

  • 2 HOF Tackles

  • 2 HOF Guards

  • 1 HOF TE

  • 1 HOF RB

  • 2 HOF WRs

and he will be a top 20 QB! Let's not give up on him yet!

a 2nd and a 5th to Atlanta. If you want what is best for Fields the person this is it. An offense with him, Pitts, and bijan would be awesome.

Not fair? It has been MORE than fair for a QB with a 6-20 record. he got 3 seasons to show that he was a competent QB. He is not.

If he wants to get MHJ (which I think is great) I would absolutely trade back with the Giants or the Pats and get a mountain of additional draft capital.
