Speaking of playing with fire, Darby!

He has to be back before Wembley, right? Wouldn't be right for them to do a big show like that without the soul of AEW

That's great, but it's also a national poll. It doesn't account for Trump's electoral college advantage.

Right. Like that clown running Crowdstrike, who failed up after a stint at McAfee. There have been two global IT catastrophes on his watch (one at each of those companies), and somehow he keeps getting put in better positions to start the next one.

With the ECW Zombie, it was more that Sandman attacked him. Which was part of the gag, I suppose; The Zombie was what "they" wanted ECW to do, and The Sandman was the spirit of ECW revolting against it.

With the Miz comment, I was thinking of the Zombie Lumberjack Match they did at Backlash 2021 as a promotional tie in with the movie Army of the Dead. IIRC, that ended with Miz getting overrun by the zombies.

Don't tell Miz, he'll freak out

I heard a rumor that AEW was coming to Cleveland that week, but I just checked their website, and the only week that's possible would be the 4th week of September, which they haven't announced where Dynamite/Collision will take place yet. Actually, with how bad AEW ticket sales are, this venue that TNA would have used would be kind of decent for AEW. Only problem is, it's not an arena shape. It's a theatre shape. So you wouldn't have those wrap around digital banners. You wouldn't have a 360 surrounding of fans. Unless you want to make seating on the stage, like ECW did in the 90s in a different theater building.

AEW uses that kind of arrangement (with fans on the stage) when they do shows at Daily's Place in Jacksonville. But that seems to be the only theater-type venue they've done.

Santos was previously able to inject a lot of personality into her work in Lucha Underground, so I'm optimistic that she can thrive in whatever role they use her in.

She once related a story where her mom (I think) told her "What, you think you just fell from a coconut tree?" to get across the idea that no one is an island and we all build on what came before us. And between the odd phrasing and her exaggerated delivery, it ended up becoming a meme.

They did the same thing with that video of AOC dancing from her college days, so I think Republicans are just incapable of understanding expressions of joy.

It was around since before there was even a hint Biden was dropping out, and I've mostly heard it used in a complimentary, or at least lightly-ironic, manner, so I don't think it was made for that purpose.

That doesn't mean it can't serve that purpose, though.

Enough delegates have pledged to Harris to give her a majority. There's not going to be a fight.

I know the media is looking to drum up controversy so they can draw eyeballs, but this is done.
