This isn't about Florida. This is about the Republicans becoming the Nazis, and needing minorities to demonize.

This garbage is happening in other red states too; Florida is just ahead of the curve.

Because none of this is actually about bathroom privacy. It's about an excuse to hate and fear the other.

Funny story: I saw a news story about Akebono's achievements in sumo when I was little, and at the end of it, he was asked what's next and mentioned he might go into pro wrestling. Because of that, when Yokozuna showed up in the WWF, I was convinced he was the same guy for way too long.

Anyway, RIP.

It'd be kinda funny if Punk got barred from entering the UK because of this.

The weird thing is, I don't think this changed anyone's mind on Punk. To my eye, it clearly shows that Punk lied about every aspect of his encounter with Perry (other than the "there may have been some light choking" part), but it seems like most of the people who have been defending Punk all along don't seem to see it that way. Which makes sense, since we live in a post-truth era.

That pretty much dispels any doubt that Punk was the aggressor in the situation. He got in Perry's face, he stopped Perry from walking away, and he threw the first strike.

Still not sure what AEW was trying to accomplish by airing it though.

The word I saw is that they wanted to book somewhere closer to the Mexican border, as CMLL will be participating and they will draw better there.

I don't think Tony Khan would be the stumbling block. The culture of WWE might have changed somewhat with Vince gone, but they still crave domination. I don't see them doing anything to give a platform to their chief rival.

I could see them doing something with TNA. I could even see them doing something with NJPW. But I would be shocked if they worked with AEW.

Didn't know about WH Thomas. History is full of strange people, I suppose.

I know Dave Chapelle is a shithead now, but I can't help but think of the Chapelle Show sketch about the blind black Klansman who doesn't know he's black.
