You are correct. TikTok uses Oracle servers in the USA with a backup server in Singapore. The FCC made sure data does not got to China.

Marketing can be really broad. You can market a shirt or you can convince someone to join a cult. And you can find out if someone is more likely to join a cult through the gathered data.

While NSA did not possess the equipment required to access the footage from the media format in which it was preserved, NSA deemed the footage to be of significant public interest and requested assistance from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) to retrieve the footage. NARA’s Special Media Department was able to retrieve the footage contained on two 1" AMPEX tapes and transferred the footage to NSA to be reviewed for public release.

I wanted a dumb tv. I was so sick of looking, I just got a 27" gaming monitor with 2k resolution for $150.

You can also get a 32" 4K monitor for like $500 but I didn't really need that.
