Thanks for the feedback, it's been genuinely helpful. I'll come up with something to post. I suppose if I make something people don't like, they can always make a pull request to change it.

Do you think it would be more interesting to people if it was geared toward a specific TTRPG system?

I think we'd start with a medieval fantasy world. Its purpose would be to provide writers and RPG playerd with an in depth setting that isnt copyrighted. I want it to be a folk storytelling thing where all ideas are free to use and remix.

I think I want to start with fantasy since its the most popular genre among worldbuilders.

Other than that, I'd want it to be as community driven as possible. My concern is no one wanting to "break the ice" in regards to contributing.

For those who don't use git, a pull request is when a contributor sends a change to a repo for it to be approved and merged into the repo.

For a one-time purchase alternative there's Wonderdraft.

A super in depth software with world generation features is Worldographer (succesor to Hexographer). The maps are less pretty since theyre hex based but you can do lots of things like having different levels of detail, where a hex is converted into many smaller hexes in another editing layer.

Eternity (for Lemmy)

Im personally not a huge fan of the portmanteaus. Its hard to make a good one with the word Lemmy.

Edit: In the same vein, it could also be called Eon.

Its like email. Gmail and yahoo mail talk to each other but have separate account databases and administrators. Both of these are general purpose instances so there isnt much difference. I think lemmy.ml is a little more left wing in its moderation.

Yep, tinnitus is your brain filling in the absence of hearing, its not a condition in itself

Im not very familiar with Opera but do you have the "Allow Acceptable Ads™" setting still on?

Edit: I just used an ad block testing site with Allow Acceptable Ads turned off and tracker blocking and the score it got is about the same as firefox mobile with ublock
