I don't work out frequently, but I do work physically demanding jobs. After starting hrt it's become much harder to maintain muscle mass (particularly arms) so even if I stop working for a couple months (or get an office job for a bit) I just kinda lose it all. With T I had decent-ish arm muscles for years for basically no reason, and now I have to try pretty hard to even get to a fraction of that pre-hrt strength.

I would say even if you continue to work out as normal, changes in fat distribution will still affect your silhouette. But if you're aiming for like, shaping your lower body through exercise, that will definitely have an effect as well.

It's funny to me how every new explanation I read about this war paints libs dumber and dumber that you get the impression they've got mush between their ears.

Engels believed the US wouldn't be able to support a revolution until all of its speculative markets (particularly land speculation) become inaccessible to the proletariat. American proletarians who speculate on the price of property will always side with bourgoisie parties, which we have seen play out through history as the democrats and republicans successfully repackage leftist rhetoric and actions into something less scary to white supremacists.

It's only just recently where we've begun to see speculative markets break down, hence the handwringing over war with China. It was always going to play out this way, we just didn't see it. We surmised that maybe the leaders weren't strong enough or the state was too oppressive. But the reality is that the breakdown of the US state was always going to come "on time" and not a minute early.

American prosperity is dead. The prosperity gospel with die with it. And then America itself will die.

Counterfactuals just generally aren't very helpful unless you're writing fiction.

I'm not saying there's a knowable answer at this point. It's just a bit worrying when accusations like this are considered life ruining when there are so many of us actually are the object of derision

Protesters will no longer be able to cite the right to protest as a reasonable excuse to get away with disruptive offences, such as blocking roads

Tell me whaur he’s been, lad,
and why has he been there?
They’ve had him in the prison
for preaching in the Square,
For Johnny held a finger at all
the ills he saw,
He was right side o’ the people,
but he was wrong side o’ the law

The article seems very carefully worded to avoid condoning or condemning trans rights. It almost reads like people in the story are treating the accusation of being trans as a slur in itself.

I'd be curious to know the actual situation; if people are calling for this board member's impeachment because using trans identity as a slur is offensive to them, or if they believe that being associated with transpeople itself is offensive to their sensibilities and the death threats simply added to their embarrassment.
