Bellingcat does great work.

it is not enshittified ... call it anti-consumer

Same difference?

Too expensive, too enshittified for me to consider. All they had to do was not fuck this up and they would've had a guaranteed sale but I don't ever see myself spending a cent on Nintendo ever again.

I heard that police are supposed to be trained not to get their bodies in front of moving vehicles.

Fucking hell. Do they need to be trained not to look down the barrel of a gun to check if it's loaded or to make sure their dick is in their underwear before they zip their pants?

“In my work with the defendants (at the Nuremberg Trials 1945-1949) I was searching for the nature of evil and I now think I have come close to defining it. A lack of empathy. It’s the one characteristic that connects all the defendants, a genuine incapacity to feel with their fellow men. Evil, I think, is the absence of empathy.”

  • Captain G. M. Gilbert, the Army psychologist assigned to watching the defendants at the Nuremberg trials

“I don’t care,” one agent is heard saying.

Sadly there seems to be a substantial market for deepfake porn and CSAM.

That's what happens when gun ownership is a right. It doesn't matter how fucking stupid, irresponsible, or psychopathic you are, you still get access to firearms and there's no pressure to learn how to handle them safely.

These are deeply weird, broken people. I don’t think they will ever be satisfied.

It's the "might makes right" approach.

Most of us get educated about why that's bad in pre-school. Nobody likes a bully and often bullying is ended with a swift punch in the face from the victim. People like Stephen Miller just haven't got theirs yet.

"we are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be.” - Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts

I don't think people calling for restraint understand what we're up against.

a very biased reading of the facts

Go take a long fucking look in the nearest mirror.

It is not built to transfer solar power from Nevada to Minnesota

This exists and is longer than that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rio_Madeira_HVDC_system

Everything works better when you have baseline nuclear power

Nope. Baseline isn't helpful when you're dealing with dispatchable generation, I already mentioned this.

Remember that batteries need to be replaced often and they are very much not green.

Nope. I already mentioned that silicon ion is capable of thousands of charge cycles.

they are very much not green.

Nope. Not when you're comparing it to the amount of concrete in a nuclear plant.

Like every other pro-nuclear person it's all about feels with you. I've given you plenty of evidence, which you've rejected much like a cultist would do. I see no point continuing to discuss this with someone who has made an emotional decision to support nuclear in the face of all the evidence.
