I'm just hoping... and I know it's all futile, but I'm hoping that if we do end up drafting this kid, our new coaching staff does their due diligence and sits him until they are utterly certain he knows how to do the job.

If that takes the full season and he doesn't play until 2025, that's fine, but for fucks sake don't, for the 3rd time straight draft a developmental project and then rush him on to the field.

There were plenty of stupid things that Nagy did and said during his tenure here, but it's been clear as day for going on three seasons now that Fields was not ready to play as a rookie. At all. And is still, to this day, working things out.

Sitting him for the year and playing Dalton was 100% a better decision than throwing in Fields too soon, and it sucks that Andy got hurt that year and forced Nagy to throw Fields in well before he was ready.

I've accepted the FO is intent on riding this season out with Flus/Getsy no matter how bad it gets.

I'm confident the heads will roll on January 8th.

I'm not confident that whoever is hired as next HC (and possibly new GM) are going to be better

anyone here remember when Bobby's dad was our DC under Wannstedt?

We had a good/decent Defense for a couple years at the very beginning, but like everything else about the Wannstedt regime, it all came falling apart.
