We’ll need a WR (two if Mooney leaves), a backup TE, a C, another OLineman, a DE, a DT, a backup LB, maybe a safety if Eddie Jackson gets released, a backup safety, possibly a punter Gill has struggled

Nobody believes the cowboys are serious contenders with Dak. Maybe it’s time we start thinking the same with Allen is what he’s trying to say, due to those turnovers.

Whole point of the Roquan trade was we wouldn’t pay an ILB as a rebuilding team. Then we paid a worse player almost just as much. While Sanborn and Edwards have been better for less than half the price.
It doesn’t kill us cuz we have a lot of cap space but imagine if that money went to another weapon on offense or a C or a DL. But unless the ILB is a superstar he won’t elevate the defense enough to justify that price.
