Too little, too late, better than nothing.

IRC when I watched it, it seemed to make references to the work of Niklas Luhmann, systems theory and of course Sapir–Whorf.

Sure, those aren't hard sciences, but then again Asimov's the Foundation is also about sociology.

Certainl y as deserving to be on the list as Solaris or Stalker. I absolutely love those movies, but they're very religiously inspired rather than science based.

TBF neither did the Americans.

The real issue is that, unlike Chamberlain (who was widely reviled for appeasement, but we now know was arguably acting on advice from generals who asked him to delay war so they had more time to prepare) and the US, Stalin was an idiot who actively helped Hitler prepare the invasion of his own country:

Stalin had ignored repeated warnings that Germany was likely to invade and ordered no "full-scale" mobilisation of forces although the mobilisation was ongoing. ... The lucrative export of Soviet raw materials to Germany over the course of the economic relations continued uninterrupted until the outbreak of hostilities. The Soviet exports in several key areas enabled Germany to maintain its stocks of rubber and grain from the first day of the invasion to October 1941.

Depends on the make and model.

Actually, that's also a place of manufacturing issue. Apparently teslas made in China are higher quality than teslas made in the US.

Eg. https://insideevs.com/news/381527/chinese-tesla-model-3-better-than-american/

I've encountered them in Belgium, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Hungary, and France.

Not everywhere though, and restaurants often have free toilets for customers. Mostly in cities, busy places.

Germany has paying toilets near on the Autobahn, but last time I checked you get a rebate coupon to buy something in the shop or cafe.

Not necessarily opposed to them. Some people are animals and 50 cents keeps out the worst of them and helps keep things clean.

Because I don't think it's a good or particularly interesting show.

High value target, vulnerable in a conflict with China.

https://www.nationaldefensemagazine.org/articles/2019/3/22/incoming-can-aircraft-carriers-survive-hypersonic-weapons

Counter argument:

Caveat on this article:

Several contractors with a stake in the carrier debate contribute to my think tank, including Huntington Ingalls Industries HII —the only company in the world that manufactures large-deck, nuclear-powered carriers.

I would advise not watching Andromeda.

Never thought it was blue, tbh. Always assumed it was a greenish-blue or cyan, like in this picture:

Seem to remember Frakes being dissapointed with that too. Wanted a male actor.
