It's a thing I like about Germans. They tend to be more strict about working hours than other EU countries, let alone somewhere like America.
I worked in the Netherlands for a while, and we'd get loads of German visitors. When we were nearing closing time, we'd often have German visitors going "It's his 'Feierabend'(end of day). He can't help you anymore". Especially when they had a problem that would last till after closing time to solve. And then when you told them "no, no. It's fine." they were genuinely grateful. They didn't expect you to work, when you were no longer being paid to.
You shift starts. You work. Your shift ends. You are no longer working.
The unsurprising result: experts often say German workers outperform American workers. Turns out strictly enforcing working hours, allowing workers to recuperate when they're not on shift, means they end up working harder when they are on shift.
Bit of a tangent and not saying it's necessarily the case here, but it annoys me when people don't capitalise God despite it being a proper noun. It's confusing.
Zeus is a god. Zeus is not God. God is a god and God is God.
In this context, it's ambiguous if Penn is saying that God (Christians' god) doesn't exist, or if he's saying that no gods exist, exactly because people don't capitalise properly and consistently.
On a similar note, people who don't capitalise church properly when it's used as a proper noun and referring to the Church.
The church hid paedophiles = paedophiles were hiding in a church building. The Church hid paedophiles = the Catholic/Anglican Church hid paedophiles.
Don't get me wrong, I quite like the guy, but Penn strikes me as a bit of an attention seeker. He is a magician after all. The kind of job you get into because you enjoy the attention, and not if you're a chilled out introvert who prefers to remain in the background.
I doubt he actually believes a lot of what he says, apparently he voted for Biden in the last election, so I have trouble taking him being an AnCap too seriously
I like to think the drummer in that suit's been doing it all day, getting increasingly hot, going increasingly insane from the insipid kids songs, until they just snap and unleash the thunder.

The average French person is tired of all the terrorist attacks and riots. Without discounting that migration does cause issues, the French are also often quite racist against their Muslim countrymen. They'll assume it'll primarily be used to target them.
I feel sorry for the normal French people. Realistically, the French get a choice in the next election. They'll likely get to choose between:
- Macron's successor: a neo-liberal who wants to expand the surveillance state and further erode hard fought for rights.
- Le Pen's successor: an actual fascist running for a party with proven financial ties to Russia, who'll be even more authoritarian and erode French people's rights even further, and significantly weaken NATO resolve.
I assume the French also gained access to stuff like DROPOUTJEEP after signing the secret Lustre treaty.

If you go on a site like wikipedia, you'll notice they also capitalise Mormon Church for exactly this reason.
If you're discussing the Jehovah's witnesses, you'd also capitalise accordingly.
Eg. A former Jehovah's witness has taken on the Church over sex abuse that occured in the church on 110th Street.
The capital helps you differentiate between a church building and the institution. A member of the Church is taking on the Church for something that happened in a church. A church that belongs to the Church.
