The sad thing is that they're not even that roomy. Something like a skoda superb beats this ford truck hands down when it comes to leg room.
So:
- not that great off-road (too heavy, too wide, too long, not enough weight on rear wheels)
- not great at transporting stuff, because the load bed is open.
- not fuel efficient (and low range)
- less safe (higher chance of roll over, takes longer to stop, lower safety standards compared to regular cars)
- poor visibility (too high, don't see pedestrians + low obstacles)
- not that roomy
- not that comfortable
- poor handling
A common argument is 'it can tow stuff', which is also silly because you can do that with a far smaller car too.
So it's a fashion statement or virtue signaler. I mean, obviously we all hate it, but the people that buy these kind of trucks usually get off on that. They're virtue signaling to their (internet) friends.

The one that really makes the hypocrisy of the pro-life crowd blatant is PreP. PreP reduces the risk of contracting HIV by something like 99%
If people were genuinely pro-life, they'd make it affordable/free and easily available for whoever wanted it. Hell, HIV would likely be a thing of the past in the developped world within our life time.
But who is most likely to contract HIV? Gay men engaging in anal sex and drug users. When it comes to these people, the pro-life crowd are in fact pro-death.

It's not that bad. The problem is that as you reach the later stages it often wants one particular (sometimes incorrect) answer, when multiple alternatives are correct or better.
So, for example, I'm a dutch native speaker, and sailed through the duolingo course until the later stages. Then it gets pretty bad and I got bored of trying to complete it.
Use duolingo for the basic stuff, but it's not the same as a language course.
It'll be interesting to see what happens after labour wins.
If I'm not mistaken, brexit should allow them to more easily nationalise stuff like railways or public utilities (water, gas, ...).
Of course, that's exactly the kind of thing many right wing brexit voters hate, but it'll be interesting to see if that's now become possible.
