Forget money or the unhappiness caused by not being able to be truly independent of your parents.

We're very likely heading for a climate apocalypse. Having children is an act of selfishness.

AT4 is incredibly shitty but is lightweight.

Given both sides have been seen using the Maxim/PM1910, I think everything is relative. IRC some have even been attached to drones and used to shoot down Iranian Shaheds.

Its like giving an infantry-man a knife. Yeah… you probably shouldn’t plan on using the knife in combat, but we all know it happens anyway.

IRC a bayonet charge was used on at least one occasion in Afghanistan, so very very true. Obviously no one wants that, but it's war. War is messy and as you say shit happens.

Obviously the reality of war is horrible, but I do find it slightly funny that when I was a kid, we used to laugh at pikemen being able to defend a city against a tank in Sid Meier's Civilisation. The reality of course, is that it's less far from the truth than you'd initially think (although AFAIK no one's ever taken down a tank with a pointy stick).

This reminds me of that story of tesla employees sharing videos of kids being run over, naked customers, or customers fucking in private chat groups:

I look forward to the class action and GDPR lawsuits.

That's good to hear.

That means they're fucked when they inevitably get hit by GDPR claims in the EU.

I was worried they might have had legal prepare for inevitable lawsuits, by ensuring they did the bare minimum. Apparently not. Always fun.

For those who don't get this, 'Laïcité' is what the French call the secularism which is part of their constitution.

Plenty are as serious about it, as many in the US are about free speech or the right to own a gun.

Obviously this is also in part a more recent phenomenon. France has a large Muslim population and laïcité is arguably interpreted more strictly by those who wish to combat the influence of Islam on French mainstream culture.

No one’s twisting RyanAir’s arm to be dickheads

No one's twisting consumers' arms to be dickheads by buying products or services from unethical companies. People know ryanair flouts labour laws, treats passengers like shit, and that air travel is destroying the planet. Just like people know cheap fast fashion made in Myanmar or China has quite likely been (in part) made with slave/child labour.

I'm not pretending to be a saint, but why should people who don't give a shit about others, expect the rest of us to give a shit about them? What goes around comes around.

It's not that different to someone some rich Saudi complaining about their slave spitting in their food. I mean, sucks for you, but I've run out of tiny violins Marie Antionette.

A lot of people are in for a very rude awakening as the climate crisis worsens and the global order changes.

Brexit means brexit.

And if the UK withdraws from the ECHR, which the tories keep going on about, it'll become even harder to extradite known criminals.

Which means everyone can visit the UK, go on a crime spree safe in the knowledge the police are underfunded, then take the eurostar and enjoy your ill gotten gains without worrying about ever having to serve jail time.

'Jahreswagen' is the true base.

New car driven by employees, low miles, sold second hand by the manufacturer. Some have very low mileage, but still the price is significantly cheaper. It's an open secret that it's nothing more than a way to offer price differentiation.

That and dacia.

You get what you pay for.

Sorry OP, but as someone who worked in the industry, I have run out of sympathy with people who fly ryanair.

It's not like it's a state secret that they're scum.
