I can see how that would be a problem.

If I watch any kind of documentary on youtube, it'll inevitably start serving up pseudo-intellectuals and crypto-fascists.

The comment sections are inevitably very culty too. Pretty scary stuff, because that's a very effective way to convince the unaware that the charlatan they're watching is actually a great thinker.

Important to stay (self-)critical and google stuff/people.

The fact that no one was hurt does not mean the case gets dismissed,” Engoron said

It's also not a fact that he hurt no one. His lies hurt banks and lenders (small violin noise), consumers and tax payers.

I know this is number 123 on the list of bad things about nazis, I have a relative who spent a less than enjoyable holiday in Dachau during the war, but it really annoys me how they've all co-opted Norse/Viking mythology and symbols.

There's this webshop in Sweden which sells really cool rune and viking crap. Really nerdy stuff, I think owned by one of the guys from metal band Amon Amarth (who AFAIK are not racist), also made stuff for the show vikings.

But 9/10 people wearing their stuff or stuff like it are far right. It's really annoying. I like Viking stuff. It's really cool. I'm a big guy, do a bit of weight lifting, so I can pull it off. But I really don't want to be associated with weird weedy incel racists living in trailers.

The EU thing ain't happening any time soon. Just look at how Poland reacted to grain exports. Look at how countries like Hungary block stuff. Look at the rise of the far right across Europe.

Before it can even think of adding Moldova, the EU needs to reform to become functional. Voting by majority, an entirely reworked Common Agricultural Policy, common foreign policy, tackling de-industrialisation, etc. etc.

I don't see it happening soon. I wonder if it will ever happen, or if it's too late.

The guardian is reporting that he's on youtube complaining about being censored.

The utter gall to complain about censorship while your videos reach millions and are reported on by multiple national newspapers.

Imagine for a second you were a paid member of a gym, but decided to do most of your exercise outside the gym you just paid for.

That's most streaming platforms for a large amount of people. They're so inconvenient that people will pay for them, and still not use the service they paid for.

A damning indictment of modern day streaming platforms tbh.
