Exactly. But if we are honest. Canada joining the EU with no land border even close. Would be such a huge change in how it needs to work Vs other members.

It is much more likely to negotiate an EEA like arangment. As customs etc would face huge complications with the US being their largest trading partner.

Just about everything would need to be up for debate for such a deal to be practical on Canada's part.

Just things like electrical trade would be questionable. Localisation meant almost all other members were using 220v like systems before unification. Food standards make EU / north American trade in many products complex. So either way any merge is going to be long and complex. So differences will be needed,

Time to buy our pichforks. Just incase the gov agrees.

Agree fully they need punishment.

Their is a need for secracy within any nations security system. But abuse of that secracy to cover up individual errors requires firm action to ensure a democratic control.

Unfortunately labeling individuals or groups fascist when they abuse that security privilege. Just weakens the respect for that protection.

We have no way of knowing if the motivation was to enhance the authority/control of a far right idealism. Or to protect the arses of a few individuals. The latter is just abuse from survival instincts. And commonly can apply to socialist communists or any other political ideology.

Very much agreed.

Also, the claim that PIP changes are about getting disabled into work.

PIP and its predecessor are not income based benefits. The vast majority of claimants are working.

Labour trying to label the cost as related to unemployability is such evil propaganda. It is about equality. Allowing disabled people to interact with society in anything close to an equal manner.

PIP is payable to billionaires that have disability issues. The fact that few if any exist is a sign of how fucking far from equal society is for disability.

Labour is working to create a false negative view of disability and the cost difference of actually existi9ng in society with disabilities. It is pure discrimination.

Farage will do whatever his paymaster says

And that will not be run the nation. At best (as far as leading), he will form a coalition with the Tories his paymasters trust/ Or back out of most seats come the election.

His paymasters want exactly what they have wqith the current right wing labour. Maybe more so.

Raised rate post COVID may have some value as an argument.

If this nasty discriminatory attack opn all disabled. Had not started ion 2010 and included all that percieved raise in claimants.

Also note the times given for the raises all match when the UK government was found to be falsely rejecting PIP claimants. The governments claim in raised numbers matches with the start of court cases rejecting their outright denial of claimants.

2016 was the highest number of false rejection. And took a few years those cases to go through court. Being re-added to the claimants list just in time to create this claimed crisis.

The Scottish people wanting a referendum or not. Is the only matter of any importance to the issue.

Not to mention all the changes had 0 effect on fraud. Those gangs quoted were post the Tory changes. And represent a tiny % of the budget. Way below the cost of implementing the 3rd party check system.

But the did have a huge effect on both the motivations and mental health of disabled.

While increasing the amount of negativity/discrimination experienced in public.

MPs who call themselves the Blue Labour Campaign Group.

Given the significance of colour in party politics.

Using the name "Blue Labour" seems to be an open attempt to break party rules about supporting another party. While getting away with it.

These folks need to be treated as the Tories they claim to be.

Yep using grains of truth to misslead is common. In fact I'd say it defines the last 10 years or so of world politics.

Unfortunately, while I love the law. This would not class as a lie in court. Just an absurd interpretation of the plan.

Most families have larger houses than most single people. Those who bath children use more water than those who shower them.

So yeah, this change in charging could lead to some families paying more to bathe. Of course, it's a distortion. And could be applied to any tax with enough work.

Much as they do for any form of charge that effects the more wealthy. They are just looking for the angle that lets them distort its effect in votes minds.
