Well my reply to that would be that it's as dumb as saying you'll never use Google because it shows you porn sometimes.
For general searches that are common knowledge, it's a very good tool for fetching information. No it's not perfect so don't take anything from it to the bank.
But for discussion purposes? More than good enough, no more subject to error than real humans and almost always more accurate and thorough.

Tbh I'm not sure the average Reddit user is who we want to attract here anyway. Not to be elitist, but there might be a benefit to at least some barrier to entry. From a bot/spam/troll perspective as well.
