Right now Im just thinking of them in relation to Palestine, and they seem to be echoing exactly the same liberal "both sides" approach that implicitly whitewashes genocide, and I will never support them in the slightest again unless they change their stance on this real fucking fast.
Huldra
I wasn't sure exactly how to translate it, the word they used was "gullande" which is when you like play around with a baby going goochie goochie goo, and shit like that.
Im sure theres a word for that in English but I couldnt figure out one that really emphasized the magnituted of just how easy they believe that we have treated the Palestinians.
The mere suggestion has raised my opinion of Putin, but it doesn't seem true considering how the suggestions of it being so is basically just "It benefits Russia if more than one thing is happening in the geopolitics at once."
Sweden is a fucking shithole country and every party in the riksdag should be liquidated.
If Putin funded this uprising, then Putin and Russia is a better country than Sweden.
A couple of bad elections could turn Sweden about as reactionary as Russia, but there is no amount of elections that could conceivably make us fund Palestinian liberation.
There's a clip going around of a BBC interviewer asking a Palestinian journalist who lost 6 family members to Israeli violence if he denounces Hamas.
Other headline rage.
The Liberal Party wants to revoke the recognition of Palestinian statehood, phrasing it basically as "we have been using kid gloves with the Palestinians".
And another headline literally just describes Putin like an antisemitic caricature, "Putin rubs his hands at the violence in Israel." Tropes are good now again folks.
Big ass article in the newspaper today here about celebrations/protests in favor of the Palestinian uprising being met by calls for Palestinians to disavow the resistance against the genocide of their people by several national Jewish orgs, as well as human interest pieces about Jewish people in Sweden being terrified now and cancelling work etc etc.
And it's again like much of this fucking bullshit, really simple actually. If you are Palestinian in Sweden, your family came from Palestine and somehow ended up here, if you are Jewish in Sweden, you dont actually have to have a connection to Israel, regardless of how its framed here.
NOTEWORTHY ALSO: The first reported Swedish deaths in the uprising, are a pair of literal children, a 4 year old and a 1 and a half year old child, who are reported to have died in Gaza. There are no article about Palestinian fears or Palestinian sorrows in the newspapers.
And Israel lost no legitimacy over it, the international media either treated it as business like usual, those rowdy middle easterners just failing to get along, or straight up told Palestinians that they had no right to protest like that and that every single civilian was actually either a willing or stupid human shield for cloaked hamas agents, there to attack the IDF.
If its inconvenient for your political position to accept that view.
Its just the natural settler response to seeing someone that isnt chalk white, and who isnt behind a physical barrier and actively under the threat of instant execution.
