Paraphrasing from memory he said some shit like Israel and Ukraine are both under attack from inhumanly cruel hordes.

The international community is not a real thing, and its recognition is equally not real.

There are objectively areas in the Donbass that are under the control of entities naming themselves as the Peoples Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk. That mere fact makes them more real than "the international community."

Liberals get really angry when you insist on conducting discussions and debates in the realm of reality instead of the realm of imagination, and also when you insist on conducting those discussions in the language of practical goals, actions and consequences, as opposed to the language of abstract principles and wants.

You must say "I want Hamas to be punished", you cannot say that "The only scenario where you can punish the actions of Hamas in a way that stops the existence of Hamas for good, is one in which ethnic cleansing has first been stopped and there is no immediate threat from Israel that necessitates militant resistance, in that world I support justice being served on Hamas for its crimes."

Its very frustrating because to me this genuinely is not a matter of ideology or opinion, if you discuss the real world you should discuss it in terms of what it would take to actually achieve the goals that are being discussed. Like I'm not just arguing this in terms of Israels crime being greater and therefore it should face justice first, in the most practical observation, you simply just cannot do anything about Hamas while Israels crimes are ongoing and unpunished, unless you wish to commit genocide. Anything that is short of that and that does not solve Israels crimes, will either result in Hamas surviving or a new Hamas being birthed.

Discovering that pumpkin spice is not just like a proprietary powder but just a regular kind of spice blend, and also its just a spice blend of every single tasty winter spice.

Was there a reason why there was such a backlash against it or was this just like the bacon circlejerk but in opposite? Literally just its like a list of delicious spices that you put in tasty treats during the wintertime?

Desperately trying to convince liberals that the only moral and practical options for opposing Hamas is to either directly by force stopping the ethnic cleansing of Palestine, or by creating and funding a 100% morally correct and non-antisemitic militia, giving them superior arms and materiel, and then supporting them in a campaign of military violence in freeing Palestine from ethnic cleansing, therefore depriving Hamas of legitimacy and role as primary armed resistance to Israel.

And of the two the former is obviously the more practical.

Love to go on reddit-logo and see people argue that "In an ideal world Hamas and Israel would be equally opposed because they are both moral black holes."

Not that in an ideal world, Hamas would not exist because Israel would not be ethnically cleansing a population they put in a giant concentration camp, just that centrism would rule supreme in an ideal world.

And besides, who fucking chooses their degree of opposition based on "morality"? You wouldnt equally oppose the KKK and idk, the Manson family, because both want race wars, you oppose the KKK more because they have superior means and organization to perform actions in the service of that goal. Opposing the morality of a group is a thought exercise.

Isn't there some easy statistic that there literally was more ("former") members of the nazi party in west german government positions in the decades after the war than active nazi party members in the state during the actual time of nazi germany?

The IDF is using a film festival model for their release of all the evidence they claim to have against Hamas.

Worth noting this is from 2016, the party leadership has changed since then and I havent heard any of this happening recently.

The current party leader has instead been retweeting calls for using loans and entrepreneurship to lift Gaza up by the bootstraps.

Edit: Found a more recent article that seems to suggest that payment was completed in 2019 and the project that it funded lasted until 2022.

Party leadership changed in 2020.

He was also vocally pro-bombing of Libya and advocated for regime change in Iran.

"At least we know about and can critique the actions of the IDF, you cant say that for Hamas" type shit.

Anthony Bourdain would be a "Israeli war crimes are cringe but Hamas does have to go" guy right now.
